22.01.2022 New Policy COVID - 19 Visitors to the clinic are now required to sign in using our QR code The recent increase in cases of COVID-19 across NSW highlights the importance of acting quickly and decisively to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission. When new cases are detected, contact tracing teams from NSW Health rely upon the timely provision of accurate details of people who may have been in close contact with affected people. If tracing teams cannot obtain reliable information on such contacts, the virus can continue to spread throughout the community

21.01.2022 repost from @speechpathaus Today (8 September) is International Literacy Day. The theme for International Literacy Day in 2020 is Literacy teaching and learning in the#COVID19crisis and beyond. As the professionals in supporting children with communication difficulties, speech pathologists are a key part of any literacy team. This is because speech pathologists understand the importance of literacy the clear link that exists between language, speech and readin...g. Strong oral language skills (including speaking and listening skills) underpin the ability to read. Learning to read and write is a crucial part of a child’s development. Reading and writing (literacy) are essential skills for adults. Being literate means that people can understand and follow written instructions, find out information online or in books, write letters and emails, and send text messages. It also means that a child or adult is able to participate fully in their education and learning. If you have concerns about your child’s literacy skills we can help, please get in touch! See more

16.01.2022 This week is NAIDOC Week Always Was, Always Will Be recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC Week 2020 acknowledges and celebrates that our nation’s story didn’t begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations.
