03.01.2022 The Skaf brothers, who led the gang rapes of girls as young as 14. Are fighting to be set free. Despite the fact they STILL feel no remorse and STILL somehow b...lame their victims. No doubt we all remember the Skaf brothers as the ring leaders in the infamous pack rape rampage of 2000 where at least 6 girls, (that we know of,) as young as 14 years old, were brutally gang raped by 14 other young men (we use that word loosely... none of them are men). One of the victims, an 18-year-old woman, was raped 40 times by 14 gang members, over four hours, in an attack coordinated by mobile phone. She was then dumped at a train station after being hosed down. Imagine the utter degradation and humiliation of that, raped 40 times, then hosed down like a dirty animal only to be dumped at a train station. The rapists originally received sentences totaling more than 240 years with Bilal Skaf being jailed for 55 years, later reduced to a minimum 28. Mohammed Skaf, 36, is serving 22 years behind bars with an 18-year non-parole period after his sentence was cut from 31 years after an appeal. Skaf was among 14 other men, including his brother, who conducted brutal gang-rapes on schoolgirls as young as 14, in 2000. He is currently fighting for parole after he was denied release at the end of his non-parole period last year. During a hearing last week, the Serious Offenders Review Council labelled Skaf a 'menace to society' adding that he has not shown remorse for his actions. 'It appears that he still blames the victims for his offending, has no victim empathy and refuses to take responsibility for his actions,' The Sun-Herald reported. The fact that 19 years on they still blame their victims for the horrendous crimes, shows that they have less than no remorse for their crimes and they WILL re-offend. It is not a matter of iif, but WHEN ! Skaf was also assessed as a 'medium to high risk' of offending again in the next five years. His lawyer Omar Juweinat argued his client has served his time and revealed he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, also known as lymphoma, and spent a year handcuffed to a hospital bed. Did he say this to make us feel sorry for him ? or for the judge to feel sorry for him ? Yeah sorry Omar but we feel sorry for the victims he and his buddies brutally raped, we feel sorry for the girl who was raped 40 times and hosed down like a dirty animal before being dumped at a train station. His lymphoma doesn’t really garner our sympathies at all, to be honest. Judge Michael Finnane compared the Skaf gang's depravity to outrages committed by invading armies in times of war and said their crimes were 'worse than murder'. That’s the brutal reality of what these monsters did. There must be a point in a prisoner's life where enough time is enough time. Mr Skaf is well beyond his non-parole period, has undertaken every conceivable course and was diagnosed with a very serious illness,' Mr Juweinat said. 'At some point, the government and the public must anticipate that this man will be released into the community,' he added. Why exactly is that Mr Juweinat ? Why should we anticipate his release ? Why can’t we keep him locked up ? He and his brother feel no remorse for their crimes, no sympathy for their victims, so they clearly have not learnt a thing about what they did or the nature of their offending, so why should they ever be released ? The Skaf brothers should NEVER be released, they blame their victims including the 14 year old girl, for their abhorrent rapes. What those girls went through was inhuman and compared by a judge to what invading armies do during times of war !
