18.01.2022 Can you believe that 12 months has already gone by so quickly, since I first started my own business??? The 09/10/2020 marked the first anniversary of All Purpose Insurance Solutions entering the insurance broking industry to provide a real point of difference for all my trusted clients. 16.01.2022 As an experienced insurance broker I've been fielding a number of questions in this challenging environment. 1) Should I cancel my insurance - not recommended as fire and weather perils can still occur; thefts are on the rise (the sad & hidden side effect of the current situation) and a burst pipe in your tenancy could trigger a liability claim if the water damages your neighbour's property. If you have no claim pending, then you won't be needing your Corporate Travel polic...y at present and can always look at later. 2) Would I be able to claim on my current insurance policy ... - It is best to lodge a claim with your insurer as each insurance company is looking at losses on a case by case basis for residential rent default, travel insurance, etc. From my experience, it is best to have the insurer look at your loss and potentially receive their declinature or acceptance rather than wonder "IF" the loss would have been accepted. I have seen many claims accepted by insurers over the years when both myself and industry colleagues have thought they would be declined. Above all, be nice to your insurance professional, they are people and business owners just like you. As a wise man recently said, use your please and thank you's they cost nothing. 14.01.2022 I recently came across this article in my News feed and even though it happened in the UK, it is still very relevant here in Australia as well. The buyer of the new Lambo convertible had just picked up his brand new car after waiting for his bespoke order for some months, only to drive it 20 minutes down the road from the delivery dealership to be rear ended and have it written off. It brought a tear to my eye too. What is unclear in the story is whether he was insured or not.... Imagine that for 1 minute, having the car of your dreams being written off only 20 minutes after collecting it and not having any insurance!!! It is very easy to get caught up in the excitement of picking up a new car and forgetting about insurance.
