21.01.2022 Congratulations to All Saints' College! We have made the Educator's national Most Innovative Schools List 2020! One of just five schools in WA to do so. A most positive affirmation of our trajectory in this space.

20.01.2022 Through our ongoing partnership with Fire Tech Australia, the College is thrilled to be the first school to take part in Fire Tech and Amazon Australia's new 'Chatbot Challenge' pilot program this term. Fire Tech educators will be working with our Year 9 Design & Technologies 'Programming and Big Data' class over the next few weeks on this challenge, which will see our students learn how to develop a real Chatbot using the Amazon Web Services platform. As the students learn ...how to create a Chatbot, a computer program that simulates and processes human conversation (either written or spoken), they will also develop valuable real-world skills of collaboration, design-thinking and problem-solving. The project kicked-off on Friday with an introduction to the challenge and the systems the students will use to create their 'bots'. The students are excited to meet with the Fire Tech educators tomorrow to continue their learning.

17.01.2022 This is the spectacular view one group of Year 10 students and ASC staff woke up to this morning in the Great Southern Region, where they are enjoying their Outdoor Learning Program (OLP) for the week. The group has been walking along the Bibbulmun Track on Albany's spectacular coastline, developing their teamwork and outdoor skills in a challenging remote coastal environment. There are seven other Year 10 programs running at the same time across the South West region, including canoeing along the Blackwood River, hiking the Cape to Cape, abseiling Bluff Knoll, and various multi-skills OLPs.

13.01.2022 Our Kindergarten students enjoyed an educational incursion with two St John WA paramedics this morning on the College oval. The special visitors spoke with our students about the equipment in the Ambulance and how they help people in need of medical assistance. The students were very excited to see the inside of an Ambulance and even have a go at turning on the flashing lights! Thank you to the St John WA paramedics for sharing their time and knowledge with our students.

08.01.2022 SATURDAY STAFF SPOTLIGHT! Every Saturday we will be posting a Q&A with one of our staff members to allow the community to get to know more about the remarkable team working here at All Saints' College. This week we caught up with Humanities Teacher, Ms Kate Bottomley. Kate first began working at the College as a practicum teacher in 2017 before becoming a permanent staff member in 2019. In her current role, Kate teaches classes across a range of subjects including Humanities,... Religion and Philosophy, Modern History, English and Money Matters. 1. What do you enjoy most about your role at ASC? I enjoy getting to know all the students, hearing about their lives, and seeing them grow into wonderful humans. I also love working with my amazing colleagues. 2. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go. Before COVID hit, my fiancé and I were planning a trip to Reunion Island, which is off the coast of Madagascar. 3. Tell us about one of your hobbies. This year I started playing soccer again, after not having played since I was in school.

08.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." ~ 'For the Fallen' by Laurence Binyon

We are fortunate to have passionate and knowledgeable students supporting our community in ICT and are pleased to welcome Myles to the position! Keep an eye out in this week's edition of The College Courier for a Q&A with Myles.
