18.01.2022 All Saints Preschool is pleased to announce that we received a rating of EXCEEDING for our rating and assessment that was performed in October by ACECQA. All Saints Preschool received exceeding in all 7 quality areas, which is an enormous achievement. We would like to congratulate all the staff, committee members and families at the center. We were blown away by the positive feedback we received in the report. Here is one of the many positive comments in the report relating ...to Relationships with Children-Quality Area 5 "Interactions with each child were consistently warm, responsive and meaningful. Children were consistently involved and included in the program through verbal and nonverbal interactions, and individual programming for their needs. Open interactions between educators, families and children supported the development of trusting relationships and promoted children's sense of security and belonging. A culture of open enquiry and respect further supported and enhanced the acquisition of children's skills for life and learning." See more

10.01.2022 Today as the Narrang Group enjoyed the Spring sun outside the children noticed things were blowing off the Oak Trees and floating down to the ground. Eliza called it the oak blossom as we could see brown flowers on the oak tree. Michelle then looked the name up on the internet and discovered the real name was "Raceme" - Oak Flowers.

08.01.2022 To our Kinder Community, As you will be aware metro Melbourne, which includes Shire of Yarra Ranges, are in stage 4 COVID restrictions and the rest of VIC is under stage 3. The advice from the Department of Education & Training and from the Premiers Office is that Kindergartens will be CLOSED until end of Term 3 holidays. We anticipate being open again for Term 4 commencing on Monday 5th October. We are very sad that this year has been so disjointed and interrupted for the c...hildren and you, our families. We will miss seeing you all; observing and documenting the learning for the children. However, we need to all think about the safety of our own families at this time, and even though the restrictions may frustrate and challenge us at time, if we all work together, we can help in the recovery of the state. Educators can be contacted via email: [email protected] Our Office Admin will be working remotely and contactable via email: [email protected] or by calling 03 5967 1117 / 0407 263 074. Please stay safe and well over the coming 6 weeks (hopefully not more) and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Remember Not stuck at home, SAFE at home. Kind regards 3 & 4 Year old Educators, Staff & the Committee of Management.

02.01.2022 VICTORIAN CHIEF HEALTH OFFICER MESSAGE TO PARENTS I am writing to Victorian parents, carers and students today to seek every familys support in slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. As the school holidays approach, we cant ease up on looking after ourselves and our families. The only thing between us and a second wave is what we do next. Wherever you go, please be mindful of the risks. Be aware others may be carrying the virus and practice physical dist...ancing. We are currently experiencing the highest case numbers weve seen in more than two months. Current evidence suggests that the rise in case numbers in Victoria is being driven by families having get-togethers and not following advice around physical distancing and hygiene. Unfortunately, we are still in a pandemic and peoples lives are still at risk. As weve seen across the world, this virus has the ability to turn a small number of cases into hundreds in a matter of days. This is not where we want to be and we must all act now while we can. This is why weve had to implement a number of revised restrictions. The number of visitors you can have at your home is now reduced to five. Outside the home, families and friends can meet in groups up to ten. This is how each and every member of the community can help: Stay safe while out in the community. Stay safe at home. And that means only seeing those you need to. Dont have big family gatherings and remember to keep your distance and maintain good hygiene. Dont share food or drinks. If you, or anyone in your family is feeling unwell stay at home. Dont visit friends and family. Dont go on holiday if you are unwell and dont go to work. Dont send your kids to school, childcare or kindergarten if they are unwell - stay home. And if you have symptoms, get tested. The vast majority of Victorians are doing the right thing, but this is a wake-up call and we cannot be complacent. Its up to all of us to keep our friends and families safe. For current information and updates on coronavirus (COVID-19) visit the Victorian Governments coronavirus website. If anyone in your family has any of the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, they should stay at home, seek advice and get tested. These symptoms include fever, chills or sweats, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose, or loss of sense of smell or taste. For more information about where to get tested visit the getting tested for coronavirus web page. If youre concerned yourself or a family member has contracted the virus and need more information, please call the 24-hour coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398. Adj Clin Prof Brett Sutton Victorian Chief Health Officer
