He continued, "The biggest challenge is that you are invisible. There is very little knowledge or understanding of the seafarer. All nations depend on each other for goods and products - as basic as food grains, fruits and meat. From whiskey to rye or even medicine or wind turbines are carried on ships. But who operates these ships? A group of men and women. Working 24 hours a day to keep the wheels of trade turning. Totally invisible out of sight and out of mind. Perhaps if the worlds people were made aware of the existence and the contribution of seafarers they may some day appreciate this anthropological subgroup of homo sapiens."
