19.01.2022 Meet Jake! Jakes elderly owner has taken a bad turn and ended up in hospital and unable to care for Jake anymore. :( Jake is a total mess and is missing his owner. Luckily her grandson is going to take him on, so Jake is spending a couple of nights with me until his new home is ready for him

17.01.2022 Bindi had her first swimming lesson today!! Got her to the point where she made the decision to enter the pool just to follow me in. Yay Bindi. Will keep you posted on her progress :)

15.01.2022 Meet Loki, pronounced (Low-Key). Loki was surrendered yesterday to a deaf dog rescue group. He is 7 months old and the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He is so friendly with people, children, other dogs and cats. He tolerates everything!! Once he is desexed and microchipped, Loki will be up for adoption and in need of a forever home. He is super clever and a very quick learner.The reason he was surrendered was because the owner found out he was deaf. He has spent the first 7 months of his life locked up in a backyard with no love :( .If anyone would like to meet him, please contact me and we can set up a visit. Thanks guys :) xx

13.01.2022 Its a full house for the next two weeks here looking after the two cats Jadice and Aslan, and the two dogs, Rosie and Albert. Plus Ruby and Loki. Love a bit of crazy in my house ;)

12.01.2022 And last but not least...I have successfully trained my gorgeous boy Loki to swim. He is the 6th dog I have trained to swim, and all 6 dogs started off hating the water, and now love it!!! So after just two lessons with me, I have a difficult time getting Loki out of the water :)

08.01.2022 I got to look after Shumba today. She has grown so much already!! We started the day by introducing Shumba to her half sister Eve. Still waiting for Eves owner to send me the photos :) And then Shumba had a nice play with Loki. Shumba was definitely the boss!! And how could I resist taking a million photos of her adorable little face :3

03.01.2022 Okay everyone, have internet again, very exciting. Sorry for not posting in so long. But were back online now and here are some things you missed.

02.01.2022 Also, we are 9 days into summer and have had some very hot days. If you are lucky enough to have a pool, then taking your dog for a swim is the best way to cool them down. If you dont though, there are some other great ways to keep your pal cool. Dogs sweat glands are on the bottoms of their feet, so having a shallow tray of water that your dog can dip her feet into is a great idea. Also, ice cubes in the water bowl keep their drinking water at a nice low temperature. Another way to cool your dog down is to provide them with some icy treats, so put some low salt chicken or beef stock into ice cube trays and freeze them for your dog on hot days :). If your dog struggles in the heat, only walk them early in the morning or late in the afternoon/evening.

02.01.2022 First of all, I would like to say, a huge round of applause for Stig who passed his greenhound assessment with flying colours (we all knew you would Stiggy). Here he is, enjoying his first walk without having to wear that horrible muzzle!! He looks pretty happy to me, showing off his greenhound collar :) Well done Stig

02.01.2022 Here is a video of the tricks Loki has learned so far! He moves off the camera on the second last trick so Ill post another video of that trick :) I tried to use verbal commands so you guys knew what I was asking him to do

02.01.2022 Dogducating the public: After reassuring a sweet little Indian lady that Teddy is in fact a German Shepherd and not a wolf, she enjoyed a nice little pat with Teddy, Colin and Stig :)
