Once Council gets a better understanding of his condition, a further statement will be released.

20.01.2022 Get hands-on building a self-contained wicking planter full of seasonal plants Wicking beds are a clever way to water plants from below, providing consistent damp conditions. These self-watering systems allow water stored in the base to ‘wick’ up through the soil. Having water readily available at the roots helps healthy plant growth and reduces mildew or fungal problems. In this workshop, you will be shown how to build your own wicking bed. You’ll take home your own polystyrene wicking container garden, and the knowledge to help your plants thrive.

12.01.2022 To be held here in Laidley We need to create a vision. We need to change the climate of our minds. We need to rebuild our inner landscapes. We need a positive, solution-focused way of thinking. We need to be inspired and we have to act. We need to heal ourselves, our landscapes, our relationship with nature and our culture & communities. We need to learn how to reconnect with nature so we can mimic it in the design of our present and our future.

02.01.2022 {WE WANT YOU} We are looking for someone who is passionate and talented in the kitchen... We are excited for Saym from Velvetier who stocked our display fridge with awesomeness for the past 2 years. Saym has a very busy and interesting year with new things happening... So a big thanks to Saym for helping us build our cafe to what it is today smile emoticon Back to you... We do not have a kitchen, but what we do have is a load of amazing customers who love homemade gorgeousness... If you think you have what we are looking for and you can supply our cafe on a very regular basis, than please private message us on here - our business page with everything that you would like to tell us about you and how we will be perfect together smile emoticon If you know someone, please tag them, call them, message them.... TELL THEM to contact us... We look forward to hearing from you See more

01.01.2022 New valuations reflect improving urban values in south east Queensland A summary of Queensland’s property market released today, ahead of the March 2 issue of t...he 2016 annual statutory land valuations, reflects evidence of increasing values in some urban areas across Queensland’s property market. Queensland’s Valuer-General Neil Bray said the Valuer-General’s 2016 Property Market Movement Report summarised the comprehensive analysis of all property markets within Queensland’s 2016 annual valuation program. Queensland’s property market reflects improved values in a number of the major urban centres in south east Queensland and parts of regional Queensland, he said. The market evidence indicating growth in these areas is supported by factors that influence the property market such as improved tourism figures, dwelling demand and availability of finance for property investors. However this growth in values is not consistent across the state with land values in some regional areas falling as a result of the decline in some sectors of the mining industry. The current state of the resource sector has seen moderate to significant decreases in overall land values in affected areas, notably the Surat Basin, Mt Isa and some areas within Central Queensland. Generally, across Queensland, modest sales activity in rural markets resulted in either static or slightly improved land values within the grazing, horticultural, small crop and dryland farming industries. Mr Bray said 11 of the 24 rateable local government areas being valued this year recorded an overall increase in median residential values of between 1.1 per cent and 24.1 per cent. Of those 11 local government areas, eight recorded increases of more than five per cent including Toowoomba, Brisbane and Cairns which recorded increases of 24.1 per cent, 9.9 per cent and 9.2 per cent respectively, he said. A further 12 local government areas recorded an overall decrease in median residential value of between 0.9 per cent and 29.4 per cent. These included Gladstone, Western Downs and Mount Isa which recorded decreases of 1.6 per cent, 17.8 per cent and 20.3 per cent respectively. Banana Shire was the only local government area that recorded no change in median residential value. The volume of property lodgements recorded with the Registrar of Titles increased over the first half of the 2015-16 financial year with an average of 3044 daily lodgements up five per cent from the previous financial year. Mr Bray said the rateable local government areas being valued this year represented approximately 72 per cent of all properties in Queensland. The 24 local government areas are Banana, Brisbane, Burdekin, Cairns, Central Highlands, Cloncurry, Cook, Douglas, Fraser Coast, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Isaac, Lockyer Valley, Mackay, Moreton Bay, Mount Isa, Noosa, Redland, South Burnett, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Weipa, Western Downs and Whitsunday, he said. The valuations, issued in accordance with the Land Valuation Act 2010, will take effect for local government rating, state land tax and state land rental purposes where applicable on 30 June 2016.
