24.01.2022 To stain or not to stain.... Its a difficult decision when deciding what overall finish you want on your timber floor. Some customers choose to stain their floor to hide old marks or faded areas where rugs have been down for a extended length of time. Other customers choose a colour to better suit their taste and their furniture/home designs. Whatever the reason, there are numerous colours to choose from and we are happy to discuss this further with you during your free quote.

13.01.2022 A few tips on Cleaning. Even if your floor has not been recently polished, these are great tips to help keep your floor looking new for longer. 1. Keep dust of the floor using a Vacuum Cleaner but remember to keep the bristles down or you will scratch the floor. If you don't want to use a Vacuum, something like a 'Swiffer' is great. 2. When mopping, keep the mop as dry as possible as a wet mop can change the moisture balance in the timber and cause your boards to expand. ...3. Steam mops are not a good idea! They can cause hot steam to penetrate between the boards which can result in cupping and the steam can also damage the coatings on the floor. 4 Use a PH neutral floor cleaner and steer clear of Methylated Spirits or Kero as these can damage the coatings on the floor. 13.01.2022 Like most things in life, timber floors are also affected by the sun. Over time, your timber floor will darken naturally as natural light touches the surface of your flooring. Its important to know that if you lay your beautiful rugs down on your newly polished floor, the sun will not affect the area under your rug and therefore, if you decide to remove your rug after a period of time, your floor will be a slightly different colour where the rug was placed. This does not sand out if you get your floor repolished. The only remedy is time and sunlight.
