12.01.2022 Get excited, the All Ages Playground is reopening tomorrow! Some of our locals want to share their favourite bits. Tell us what your favourite part of the park is! Don't forget to stop in and support our local businesses while visiting. Located at the corner of Clive Street & Great Southern Highway, entry via Albion Street. The much-loved All Ages Playground, designed to bring the community together, has something for everyone with its refurbished iconic giant play equipment, aerial walkway, children’s play area and additions sure to please the thrill-seekers. Whether visiting for the weekend, or stopping on your way to Denmark or Albany, kids and adults alike will be entranced by the iconic playground, located about 290km south-east of Perth.

10.01.2022 PUBLIC NOTICE SHIRE OF KATANNING ADMINISTRATION AND FACILITY CLOSURES The Shire of Katanning will implement additional measures aimed at slowing the spread of COVID 19. The following facilities will be closed to the public from 12 Noon Friday 27 March 2020:... Shire of Katanning Administration and Civic Centre Katanning All Ages Playground and Skate Park Prosser Park Playground Katanning RV Overnight Rest Area All public toilets (except Lions Park Changing Places and the Katanning Town Square) The following facilities will remain closed: Katanning Library and Gallery Katanning Leisure Centre Katanning Aquatic Centre These facilities will be closed until further notice. The Shire will continue to take into consideration advice from Government and Health Authorities. The Katanning Waste Site will remain open for normal operating hours. While the public will not be able to attend the Shire Administration and Civic Centre, many transactions such as payment of rates and Shire accounts can be made by credit card, online, over the phone or by direct debit arrangements. Shire staff will continue to provide services, but not with face to face contact and customers may experience delays as we transition to operate and provide service in a different way. Department of Transport enquiries can be made by calling 13 11 56 with the ability to pay accounts online at www.transport.wa.gov.au We urge the community to stay home as much as possible and avoid unnecessary public gatherings. We also ask that you do not use barbecues, play equipment and outdoor gym equipment in the town parks and recreation areas. If you have more time there are also barbeque facilities, shaded eating areas and new toilet facilities. Located on the Great Southern Highway in Katanning, Western Australia!
