24.01.2022 Great news! With yesterday's easing of travel restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne the Australian Camps Association (ACA) now have advice from the Premier's Office that from today camps in all parts of Victoria can resume for metropolitan Melbourne schools. ACA expects that there will be an updated School Operations Guide issued to schools from DET in the next day or two. Metropolitan Melbourne schools are now able to confirm bookings for the remainder of term 4 and, most importantly, for term 1 2021.

19.01.2022 Day 4 of our winter school holiday camp: Another great day with lots of activities. We started our day with our Tai Chi Cheng Ming session. Today the children learned some more moves and how to use them in self-defense. We also worked on our skills with the staff (sticks). After that we did some abseiling on our giant pine tree and lots of playing in the Ga Ga Pit and around the playground. The afternoon was busy with Hut Building. Creativity has no boundaries and our campers really showed that. We had lots of different decorations on the huts, little bowls, furniture etc. We could have stayed much longer on this activity, but we wanted to do some climbing on the Dangle Duo (older children) and our Scavenger Hunt (younger children) before the sun set. What a fun day!

17.01.2022 Last time we did some tobogganing at Allambee Camp was back in 2016! What a great surprise when we were able to toboggan down Billy Cart Hill yesterday morning :-)

12.01.2022 Day 3 of our winter school holiday camp. Another beatiful sunny winter day, perfect for being outdoors. We did our Tai Chi exercises in the morning and the children did so well yesterday, that they were able to extend their training to using a staff (stick). Off to the High Ropes (Vertical Challenge) after that, for some climbing before lunch (sorry I didn't take many photos there). In the afternoon we made a camp fire and we did some camp fire cooking. The children made thei...r own damper dough before cooking it on the fire. The last session was about what to do in case of an emergency in the bush. We built stretchers and had to get our friends out of the emergency area After that lots of playing in the playground and Ga Ga Pit before enjoying the Kat's beautiful lasagna. Children visibly tired at dinner time, off to a movie and early night. See more

11.01.2022 Day 2 of our school holiday camp. Finally, the sun came out and we had a beautiful day. We started the day with some Tai Chi Cheng Ming exercises guided by Tai Chi instructor Richard https://www.facebook.com/chengmingima/ After that we enjoyed the sunny morning and had lots of fun on the Flying Fox. We did the Race Around the World and played plenty of Ga Ga Ball, the most favourite activity on camp. We did Archery, played on the Giant Sling Shot, made magnificent soap bubbles and cooked our own pizzas. What a day, needless to say that going to bed didn't take long tonight

05.01.2022 What a surprise, we found a time capsule at Allambee Camp! What a great idea Peter & Barbara Redmond had back in 1985 when they placed this time capsule. See attached pictures for what we found. We are now putting this time capsule back and adding a 2020 time capsule too. Why don't you place a family time capsule somewhere around your property? It's good fun finding them decades later.

05.01.2022 Day 5 of our winter school holiday camp: Last day! We did some more work on our Hut Building and got a bid muddy. But don't worry, mud washes off easily :-) Last time on the Vertical Challenge before having some lunch, working on our camp memories to take home. And no, we didn't forget to play Ga Ga Ball again before leaving camp. Good bye campers we'll miss you! See you next time.... PS: Finally we've got the Ga Ga Ball pit all to ourselves :-) see video :-)
