21.01.2022 Kangaroo Valley village and environs remain untouched by bushfire... and as beautiful as ever. Worth a visit if you need to retreat, rest and rejuvenate.

09.01.2022 We’re Open in Kangaroo Valley

07.01.2022 Q & A about the fires Q: Has Kangaroo Valley been completely destroyed by fire? A: No! Some areas to the west of the village were impacted by fire. The vil...lage was untouched and in fact, you will not see any burnt areas along Moss Vale Road (the main road through the valley). Q: Is it safe to visit Kangaroo Valley? A: Yes, the RFS has declared it safe for people to visit us. Our air is also clear and fresh right now! Q: Does Kangaroo Valley need your support? A: Yes! Due to the fires, the number of visitors to our area dramatically reduced, and accommodation bookings were cancelled in what is normally our busiest period. Some businesses were also impacted directly by fires. As our town relies heavily on tourism, we need your help so we can survive our upcoming quieter periods. You can support us by eating at our cafes, shopping in our shops, coming to our events and staying in our holiday homes. Don’t forget to bring your empty eskies too! We are very grateful for your support.

04.01.2022 Do you live in Sydney and are interested in learning more about labyrinth building? Would you like to meet some Australian Labyrinth Network members and lend a ...hand building a labyrinth at Mount Carmel retreat centre this weekend? This weekend on Saturday and Sunday the 7 & 8th of March we will be building a labyrinth at Mount Carmel retreat centre. Mount Carmel retreat centre is in Varrowville not far from Minto train station. It will be a 6 circle labyrinth with grass paths marked by brick pavers. We draw the labyrinth at 9am Saturday. All offers of help will be greatly appreciated whether it be for an hour a day or the weekend. If you are unable to help build the labyrinth but would like to watch the labyrinth being drawn and say hello, you would be welcome. It is important that all attendees register as a volunteer on the all website all.org.au Click on the labyrinth building event listed there. We are sending out some specific instructions to everyone registered. If you have any specific questions feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] or 0425239787. This labyrinth will be used at the ALN gathering in late March and will also be available to be used in the future by anyone attending a retreat at Mount Carmel. The forecast for Saturday is looking good, top of 24 and only a few drops of rain. Hope to see you there! Attached is a picture of a grass and brick paver labyrinth at Allambie Gums in Kangaroo Valley, BNB and home of Cheryl Andrews who is helping build the labyrinth at Mt Carmel.
