22.01.2022 Finished new diff centre today and fitted it to car. Looking forward to see how 5;3 ratio goes at stanthorpe. Am hoping it puts car firmly into 3rd gear for up the hill making it stronger than before. Not long till last round cant wait. Cheers Al

20.01.2022 Next weekend I am off to Stpanthorpe for the second round of th touring cars. One of the smallest fields for a long time. Only 6 in my class. But about 100 in the sprints. I think will have to consider having a go at State rounds next year. Or buy a Gemini they look like stacks of fun.

19.01.2022 hey guys am making some changes to my escort . Gone to 15 inch wheels and 225/50 15 tyres. A set of flares to fit them under, which will require some paint work . Have got a wider diff hiusing to widen the rear track by 60mm, and am going to put grp4 alloy huds on the front which will widen it by 20 mm. Next meet will be at Pittsworth Sprints in September so have got plenty to do.

16.01.2022 So its off to Morgan Park for the first round of the short circuit touring cars on the 22 23 of feb. It has been a busy break since last year and have not spent any time on the car at all. Oh well well give it an oil change and valve adjustment and see how we go. Cheers all, and good luck to Beck and Michael Dawes this weekend at Bathurst

15.01.2022 Just unpacked new inlet manifold and water rail, which brings the thermostat from what is now the back of the motor down to the front, and a pair of billet cam gears. All looking good. will get some pics and put em on line for all to see.

13.01.2022 Its amazing how things can work themselves loose when you start pushing them to their limits. Left hand front strut tube has started to work itself loose from the cast steel stub axle assembly. And the right front brake rotor has come loose from the hub assembly. All these components were checked and wheel aligned just last december. Its probably just as well we broke the gear stick and didnt push so hard in the last 2 races. If any of these components had of failed we would have been left with no brakes or steering. Sometimes things work out for the better. New bits on the way with some real improvements coming, 15 inch rims 225/50 x 15 inch tyres. etc Come on next round. Cheers Allan.

13.01.2022 Just uploaded photos of new Zetec engine we are building. It starting to get exciting with some new parts arriving , alloy sump has been fabricated , ARP bolts etc have arrived, 12.5 to 1 compression pistons and eagle forged rods are in transit somewhere, Have got mandrell bends for extractors. Come on bits. Will keep updating as new parts arrive and are added. Catch Ya Allan

12.01.2022 Well in the last week or so have been fitting flares to car and because I run it at a pretty low stance it has posed a few difficulties in getting it all to work. But I think I have it sorted. Will soon see as Pittsworth is only 3 weeks away and am intending to use it as a test for new changes to be sure all will be well for Stanthorpe last round .

12.01.2022 Well we came home from Stpanthorpe car is in one piece no prangs. Will need to weld gear stick back together and replace alternator. Brakes will need overhaul. But other than that we won our class and came second out right. It was real nice to have Cathy and the kids there cheering me on and taking videos a great weekend.

11.01.2022 2 litre pinto fuel injected head with 30 thou off it comes up 10.8 to1 compression. Will work real well with a phase 4.5 Newman's cam kit

06.01.2022 Have been rebuilding engine since bearing problems at Pittsworth Sprints. Still waiting for crank to come back, should get it this friday all being well. Am starting to find availability of parts a real problem in Oz. Had trouble getting cam bearings and auxillary shaft bearing. Engine is getting a bit old and parts not kept by most parts suppliers. Can get everything out of England still but time is a concern when you need it now....... Oh well only 2 weekends till Stanthorpe touring car event. Will be very busy if can get parts.Cheers AL

02.01.2022 Well it is probably old news now but after last round of touring cars at Stanthorpe we came third in class for the weekend, which gave us second in class for the years championship. Very happy with that . We spent most of the day on Saturday in between races tuning and sorting out new engine . Sunday was a good day with 2 thirds 1 second and 1 first place. All in all agood outcome. Looking forward to next year with bigger and better things on the way. see ya then Al.

01.01.2022 Well just got back from Stanthorpe Short Circuit Touring car event . We came first in class and category, pretty good out come. Car went well quite a few through the weekend didnt finish but it was good to put the car on the trailer still running as strong as when we started. Only damage was an errant bonnet that came up at the start of the last race, a good look this morning and I think it will be repairable. Cheers till next round, Allan
