17.01.2022 Itoh Peonies: Named after their famous Japanese breeder, Dr. Toichi Itoh. After thousands of attempts, finally in 1948 Dr. Itoh created seven peony hybrids from crossing together Tree Peonies and Herbaceous Bush Peonies. Sadly Dr. Itoh passed away before seeing his creations flower. American horticulturalist Louis Smimow years later managed to buy some of the original Itoh Peonies from Dr. Itohs widow and carried on the brilliant Doctor's work. The flowers open up and don't s...ag like many of the bush peonies. Some are sweetly perfumed and all varieties are excellent as a cut flower. Today there are many more varieties of the beautiful Itoh Peonies available. Considered one of the rarest flowers on Earth at the time of their creation the plants could fetch between 500.00 - 1000.00 each. As time marched on and more nurseries grew them the prices came down. 02.01.2022 Please help us, this fine specimen has broken into our premises twice recently, Monday the 31st of August at 3.00am and again this morning the 16th of September at approx 3.05 am, the first time he took expensive plants and ornaments, the second time he has helped himself to our AEG Power Tools, Rover Mulcher, Honda 30EUis Generator, Stihl Professional Brush Cutter, assorted power tools and hand tools, he then stole our old truck a White Mazda T3500 which is very unique with... Allans Garden Centre Prospect written all over it, the truck was full of bulk potting mix which some was spilt going out our front gate then more up the road at the entrance to Tyler Village and again on the Prospect roundabout sliplane leading to the Main Highway going to the North West Coast. He is 21-27, long blondish wavy hair, a big nose and a smoker as he dropped a new cigarette he had behind his ear and must be strong to lift the heavy generator onto the truck by himself. We are a small Tasmanian owned business that relies on a good honest customer base, some one knows him.
