10.01.2022 Lest we forget Originally known as Armistice Day, November 11 has expanded over the years to solemnly remember all the fallen men and women who have lost their lives in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping efforts. Charles Bean landed with the Australian troops on Gallipoli on April 25, 1915. He stayed with them at the front through the entire war, refusing evacuation when he was wounded. At Pozieres the following year he was witness to 23,000 Australian casualties in just six we...eks. A dying Australian asked him, Will they remember me in Australia?". We are calling on all Australians to remember them by observing one minute's silence at 11 am on the 11th of November for Remembrance Day. By observing one minute's silence we pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are still serving in our defence forces and remember those who have died or suffered in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations. This Remembrance Day, share who you are remembering on social media using the hashtag #WeRememberThem

06.01.2022 There is no bigger joy in this world than owning books and being transported to different worlds. The beauty of reading books is that everyone takes different things away from the same book. Are you sentimental, or fond of the idea of treasuring something that was cherished by someone before? Second-hand books have been loved and possess something treasured by someone else Imagine how many fingers have flipped its edges and how many minds and eyes have read a particular b...ook. The cherished memories stored forever on that specific book. At All Areas Family Day Care we believe that every book tells a thousand stories so we are passionate about upcycling our books Working as a champion with Paint Penrith REaD has given us the foundation’s for helping to improve early literacy skills through our educators homes Our educators have implemented reading boxes within their services to reach out to the community with this important message Read , talk, sing and rhyme with children from birth, so that children will be ready for learning at school. #cbca2020 #roobyroopaintpenrithread #paintthetownread #bookweek2020 #familydaycareaustralia See more
