25.01.2022 Look out for us, when we're looking out for you. A road rule has changed to keep us all safe. When passing stationary emergency vehicles, tow trucks or breakdow...n assistance vehicles with flashing lights in speed zones of 90km/h or more, motorists will need to slow down safely and move over to give as much space as possible. In speed zones of 80km/h or less, motorists will need to slow down to 40km/h. Find out more: bit.ly/slowdowngivespace #morethanfire #preparedforanything #slowdown #towardszero

22.01.2022 George is rewiring another customers car and sent me down some "simple" gauges, they are out of a little Datsun 1000 or 1200 rally car , they needed the tacho m...odified to work with the ECU that was controlling the new engine, and just clean up and check the other gauges. I stripped them all down and removed half the sandy desert, these were so full of bull dust it was amazing, but the problem with dust it that is abrasive and the speedo and tacho were not happy with this. I tore the tacho down and cleaned it right out but unfortunately the dust had actually ground out the top and bottom bearings and even wore down the steel pivots, I spent some time in my spares putting enough bits to try to restore it but even though I got it working it just wasn't right, I couldn't get a linear smooth movement, and I didn't have a good complete movement so I ditched the original tacho and fitted a brand new Autometer tacho in behind the dial and machined up some spacers and calibrated it to suit the 4 Cyl and put it all back together. The speedo hadn't fared any better , The lower jewel was just as bad as the EK that I posted and I had to do the identical job to this one to replace it, I then stripped the odometer and tripmeter and cleaned the dust out of everything and reassembled and re calibrated it back to factory, surprisingly the speedo is in miles, but around the very perimeter of the dial (cant see it with the front black plate on is the KMH conversion.) The fuel and temp needed a good clean out and they checked out fine so I reassembled the whole dash, changed out all the burnt globes and fitted LED,s to the illumination. They should last another few rallies now See more

16.01.2022 2020 has been quite an emotional time for me with Mum, COVID and whatever else that has been thrown at me but as they say - good things are worth waiting for ......... today I am proud to announce the launch of my new business CCQ Law! 15.01.2022 LAKESIDE PARK MID PROPOSAL Queensland Raceways are preparing a master plan at the Lakeside facility, and have requested that the Minister for State Development..., Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning identify Lakeside Park as a ‘Ministerial Infrastructure Designation’ (MID) under the Planning Act 2016. The designation will: recognise Lakeside Park as an educational and sporting facility and allow for its many uses; allow for a master plan to be prepared and approved that consolidates existing facilities and plans for improvements; and resolves a way to better regulate noise from the motorsport activity. The master plan proposes to allow for: the existing track (including motor racing, and other recreational track activities including cycling and Paralympic cycling training); the existing conference facility; the existing garage for motor vehicle storage and existing caretaker facility; the existing secondary track that accommodates driving training activities (amongst other things) as well as a supporting classroom building; a proposed quad bike / 4WD training and safety area; nature based non-motorised activities such as mountain bike trails; and a proposed caravan and camping area to support the uses on site (limited to people participating in or attending a lakeside facility event). If you are interested in our MID and preliminary masterplan and would like to meet with a member of our team, please contact us on (07) 5461 9100. Alternatively, you can submit an enquiry via email to [email protected]. This early consultation period will be open for your comments from 13/02/2020 28/02/2020. Feedback from the pre-engagement consultation will be provided to our project team to address in the preparation of the Draft Environmental Assessment Report (DEAR). The DEAR will be prepared with input from specialist consultants and describe the anticipated environmental, social and economic impacts and an assessment of these impacts. The DEAR will then be submitted to the Minister requesting that Lakeside Park be designated for infrastructure. After these steps are carried out, a second consultation period (held later in the year) will provide the opportunity for submissions to be lodged with the Minister on the proposed designation.

01.01.2022 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Hardtop 289 4bbl. /4 speed car. Factory red on red. VIN# 4J23K506193 Very solid rust free car. Was built in the Los Angeles plan...t on Dec. 11th 1964 & has spent its whole life in Southern California. Never been wrecked. I've owned the car for the last 15 years. I've completely rebuilt the suspension. The car rides & handles great. The engine is a little tired but runs fine. The transmission needs to be rebuilt. It upshifts just fine but you can't downshift with it. Paint looks good from 20 feet away. Body is smooth with very few dents & zero rust. The rear seat is removed because the upholstery is bad but I do have the upper & lower rear seat frames that go with the car. I have other cars & racecars to take care of & I never seem to have the time or money to put into it so I've decided to let her go & let someone else give her the time & attention she deserves. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Here is a list of things I've replaced on the car over the years. I haven't driven this car more than 500 miles in the 15 years I've owned it.
