25.01.2022 MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EACH & EVERYONE OF YOU PLEASE TRAVEL SAFE IF YOUR GOING SOMEWHERE AND MOST OF ALL STAY HEALTHY FROM ALL AT ALLAWAH MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EACH & EVERYONE OF YOU PLEASE TRAVEL SAFE IF YOUR GOING SOMEWHERE AND MOST OF ALL STAY HEALTHY FROM ALL AT ALLAWAH

25.01.2022 I have just had an in depth phone conversation with Gaynor from Tim Bulls office. She is trying to find out the clarifications on us opening on Thursday morning. Trying to find out what the so called bubble is that we will have. Will keep you posted :)

23.01.2022 *NO COMMENTS PLEASE* This is for the Raymond Island Ferry (east gippsland)

20.01.2022 *COVID 19 CHECKIN* Annuals that are allowed to come to the park as of Thursday 17th Sep we must remind you to stop and sign the covid book located at the kiosk door. Please list in full everyone who is staying on your sight. No excuses as we have made this accessible 24/7 Thankyou and see you when we see you Ronny, Lisa, Mitch & Jenny

18.01.2022 Need to get this out to everyone. Due to the social bubble factor no annuals can have visitors stay onsite with them. If you are intending of having your friends here they must check into a unit. This applies to all travelers wanting to stay at the park. Your bubbles are your family only that reside in your home. eg..if 2 families are wanting to get away for the night not from same residence then you would have to book 2 separate units. We have been informed that the Police will be conducting random licence checks within Allawah and they will not hesitate to fine anyone not following the social bubble rules. MASKS TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES & WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

18.01.2022 Omg its finally arrived! Come on guys get cracking and get new pool ready for summer

18.01.2022 *Just a reminder to all Annuals & Visitors coming to Allawah this weekend, you must sign the Covid book located at the front of the kiosk and sign all persons in. Please pop your head in the next morning if you are arriving late & check in with the girls. We apologize for our pool being closed as the guys are still in the process of getting it organized it's new location. To all people who are still in Lockdown, hopefully you can still have an enjoyable cup weekend and hop...efully we will see you all after the 8th Nov. Until we see you, stay healthy & safe driving everyone ALL MASKS MUST BE WORN WHILE WALKING IN & AROUND THE PARK AT ALL TIMES

16.01.2022 Heading to Parliament today for the first time in 10 weeks (Legislative Assembly sits tomorrow and Friday) with the new Dusty mask, and while I do like Dusty’s ...social distancing message, I’m not sure it will be allowed in the chamber (no slogans or graphics). With changes to Coronavirus restrictions to be announced this Sunday (September 6) for implementation the following Sunday (September 13), I will be seeking an outcome that will allow East Gippslanders to support East Gippsland businesses. I am pleased to hear the health officials say the road out will be different for country areas to the city as it should be. Dependent on what happens in Melbourne between now and Sunday week, if travel restrictions to rural areas need to be kept in place for longer, so be it, but it is critical we allow our local communities to support our local businesses - including restaurants, cafes, pubs and others as they were able to in stage two some weeks ago. While many have been able to get by, operating with altered business plans, including expanded take away menus and home deliveries, they cannot survive for ever with this model. I have been contacted by a range of business people over recent weeks, stating that if they cannot open their doors to sit down local customers on September 13, they will likely have to close. Some already have. It is about a common-sense balance. While we need to get local businesses opening their doors again, we cannot take unnecessary health risks (especially around travel). One does not have to be exclusive to the other, it can be achieved with careful planning and co-operative communities. The situation in Melbourne is trending well at present, but should there be a relapse, by all means maintain or strengthen restrictions where required around travel and the like, but it is crucial we are able to start allowing locals to support our local enterprises that are hurting. People also need to be able to have restricted visitors in their home for mental health support and socialisation. That is the position I will be taking to Parliament tomorrow. Given there is now light at the end of the tunnel, and we are told the roadmap to get Victoria out of lockdown is being unveiled on Sunday, we are asking what common sense activities (without compromising health outcomes), you are most keen to see returned? https://vicn.at/lookingforward

15.01.2022 Hope everyone is well. Fingers crossed we all will have some good news with Dan Andrews this Sunday In the mean time stay healthy, and don't forget masks and distance

06.01.2022 Please if you are from lockdown areas don't bother to ask if you are permitted to come to Allawah as the answer is "no"! Unfortunately you are still unable to travel at this stage and everyone in East Gippsland have been strongly advised to call the police if this happens. Sorry

01.01.2022 Dear East Gippsland.... We know how important New Year’s Eve is to our community. It’s a Paynesville tradition. And this year, more than ever, we wanted to be ...able to bring families together. But with ongoing restrictions, and govt announcements that Christmas is going to look very different this year, the likelihood of being able to host 5000+ people on the foreshore at one time, just doesn’t look possible. With great sadness the Paynesville Community Events Committee have made the hard decision to cancel the New Year’s Eve event on the foreshore this year. We know you’re disappointed. We know you were hanging out to send 2020 packing And we know there will be backlash But letting you know now is important. If restrictions weren’t enough... each year the NYE festival is funded by our amazing local businesses and community donations. Leaning on our local traders after all they’ve been through this year, just wouldn’t be right, and we can’t guarantee when event grants will be available again. Our tiny band of volunteer committee (there’s never more than 5 of us) are both dogged and committed. We’ve pulled this event off in five weeks before and if, closer to the event, there’s a way we can make it happen safely, legally, insured and financed.... rest assured we’ll do it again. But for now.... for this year, we’re pressing pause. Please stay safe, wash your hands, wear your mask and let’s do all we can to make sure we can get together again as soon as possible. Simon Ellis & Cherie Draper President & Vice President Paynesville Community Events Inc
