25.01.2022 Ok I am new at this Facebook entry stuff so if it works give us the thumbs up. This chair was left in the corner of moist carpet (near a window) and when the carpet dried out it also brought the resin inside the timber out and left a very nasty stain (pic 2 two stains) to remove the stain is virtually impossible so (pic 3) I cut it out and replaced it as you can see in pic 4. This was very high quality wool carpet in a very proud home so they were thrilled at the result.

23.01.2022 I cleaned carpet today for a couple with a long haired cat that was always coughing up fire balls & staining the carpet. They treated this with plain soda water, it worked a treat, but remember it was plain soda water not mineral or colored also dont forget DO NOT RUB

20.01.2022 Main rule of carpet cleaning or to get stains out is DO NOT RUB the carpet. Rubbing damages the fibers & causes irreparable damaged also spreads the stain. Its best to dab or tamp.

09.01.2022 General rules for spot removal on carpets Soak up liquids with kitchen roll, paper tissues, toilet roll, or absorbent cloth Scoop up or scrape the solids off the carpet Try to identifiy unknown spots prior to treatment - if unsure, use solvent first Always work from the edge of the spot inwards... BLOT, do NOT rub Apply small quantities at a time, applied to a cloth, NOT directly to the spot; work into the spot with a small brush or sponge Take care with applying solvents to bitumen-backed carpet tiles When using solvents always ensure there is plenty of fresh air ventilation Always thoroughly rinse afterwards if water-based spotters have been used Then dry by using kitchen roll, paper tissues, toilet roll, or absorbent cloth. REMEMBER DO NOT RUB

01.01.2022 Pet urine is the most common odour problem, it leaves the body an acid, then dries to a alkaline salt, so it can acid burn your carpets & when it dries out to a salt it will lay dormant and you cant really smell it until it rains & the humidity puts moisture in the air then the alkaline salts are activated & you have the smell back again. So it depends on the quantity of pee, if the backing is effected or the underlay or sub floor. so if your pet or pets have an accident act... quickly to avoid an on going problem. Step 1. Blot with a dry towel / absorbent paper until moistures gone. (DO NOT RUB) Step 2. flood with water. Step 3. repeat step 1 Step 4 repeat step 2. See more
