19.01.2022 Both photos taken in Malaysia in 1999, showing asbestos cement sheeting being made and then imported into the UK. The sheets were built up with the roller, picking up 1mm of the wet cement each time it turned, to a total thickness of 6mm. The sheets were then cut and placed into a mould and patted down to form the desired type of sheet. In Australia, asbestos materials were slowly being phased out in the late 1980s and into the early 1990s in domestic and residential buildings. Despite the clear correlation between asbestos and asbestos-related illnesses, this deadly product was still being manufactured, imported, sold and used in all types of building materials until its ban in Australia on December 31st, 2003.

07.01.2022 Just wow. Out with the old and in with the new! When we purchased this building over 2 years ago, it was falling down around us. We undertook a complete renovation to the interior and gave the front facade a much needed face lift. This time around, the front facade is brand new and boy does it stand out from the crowd! Our small family business has expanded dramatically in the last few years, from 2 staff members to now going on 7. Using a high pressure water blaster on any material that contains asbestos is illegal and extremely dangerous as it destroys the surface of the material and releases fibres into the air, putting not only you and your family at risk but also your neighbours.
