21.01.2022 Now is the time of year when Shepard avocados take over from Hass avocados as the main variety available in your local store. Whilst this may be a seamless transition from one variety to another, it can be off putting when we are confronted with a fruit display of totally green avocados. The first impression is "none of these avocados are ripe!" but looks can be deceiving. Give Shepards a go!

18.01.2022 Heres an Avo hack for the girls. When you have over ripe avocados dont throw them out, blend them up to make a natural hair mask. Just put the pictured items in a blender, shampoo your hair, towel dry, add avo mask and wrap in cling wrap for an hour or more. Grab a book and relax while your avo works its magic.

14.01.2022 Do you hate when you have too many avocados that ripen at the same time or when you have avos but they arent ripe enough to eat? Here is a great hack!! Get your perfectly ripened avo (when they are cheap) cut in half and remove the seed. Coat them in lemon juice and freeze on some baking paper. Once they are solid put them into a large zip lock bag and keep in the freezer to use as you need them. Boom!

01.01.2022 Green Avocado Hummus Yield: Serves 10 INGREDIENTS 2 ripe avocados 1 ea. 15-oz. can chickpeas, drained well... 3 T. olive oil, plus more for serving, if desired 1-1/2 T. tahini 3 T. fresh lime juice 1 ea. garlic clove, peeled Chilli flakes to taste Blitz in your food processor until smooth and enjoy!
