18.01.2022 In the past few weeks Ive seen quite a few Mercedes immobiliser systems fail due to battery voltage being insufficient. Allthough it can happen for no good reason, when insufficient voltage supply occurs the EIS (ignition) can suffer from data loss and either your key ID will be forgotten or the EIS will become corrupt. To avoid this dont leave your lights or radio on and make sure to have a decent battery.
