23.01.2022 We don’t need a gym to make progress! As everyone knows by now all gyms across Australia are now closed. This just creates a new challenge for everyone who loves their fitness as not all of us the luxury of home set up, or access to any equipment for a workout as intense as what we’re used to.... This doesn’t mean our workouts have to become less effective, it just gives us an opportunity to go back to basics, simplify our workouts by incorporating more time under tension work. We are still using dumbbells, barbells and bands while incorporating body weight exercises This past week I have been gathering enough equipment to give my clients enough variation & resistance to still see progress. If you’re looking to be pushed harder than you can push yourself & your looking to see results, I will be running 1 on 1 sessions again, starting tomorrow Send through a DM if you’re interested. 16.01.2022 What works for you? Becoming a dad definitely shook things up with my routine & structure. It use to be work, get home for some down time, then train whenever it suited me. ... But now it’s 3:45am wake ups to train & then work. This allows me to still have time to get out on the bike with the boy in the afternoons for a little more exercise. I have always kept health and fitness one of my main priority’s. I’ve always had Rugby to keep me accountable..Then I joined a gym when I was about 19 and my love for weight training was established. Don’t be that person to use the excuse I don’t have time if you want something bad enough, you’ll make time. Workout a plan & stick to it! Will you find time, or find excuses? 16.01.2022 3 simple exercises performed ‘Smarter’ not ‘Harder’ Too many times we see people performing exercises, with poor execution due to the weight being too heavy. It’s important to nail the basics, before trying to train your ego and lift weight that creates poor form with too quick of a tempo. For better results, I much prefer to slow things down and focus on burning out the muscle. Fatiguing is achievable with moderate weight when tempo is slowed down. You don’t need to thro...w up heavy weights in order to grow.
