25.01.2022 Two lovely young women, who came to me to have their bridal gowns altered and NOW, WOW, successful mummies and homemakers learning how to sew ! My job is done

24.01.2022 To all my valued clients and new ones, I am still working , albeit at a slower pace. As I have always done , my services are by appointment only, and especially so during this present pandemic . Please send me a text message (preferably) and we can sort out dates and times as well as quotes etc. Take care, and thank you for your consideration in this matter, as you know my workshop is the ground floor of our home, and my husband has has several major surgeries this year and keeping him safe is my number one priority. I appreciate you not just turning up at my workshop. Thank you , Deb

23.01.2022 I often get asked if I teach sewing , the answer is yes but I have just found a place that offers sewing lessons in Albany. Elsie Grey Patchwork Shop on Albany Highway (oppositeSpotlight) This amazing young lady called Sally, offers group sewing lessons. I hear she is marvellous and not only that what a fabulous venue, I love Elsie Grey PatchiShop. You can check it out on Sally’s Facebook page C AUSTRALIA

23.01.2022 Lace up back conversion , the most popular way to make wedding dresses and ball gowns larger. Actually, this one was too big and had an ugly zip, this looks much more stylish and sexy.

21.01.2022 Today , I had a call from someone, wanting a quote to make wedding dress. What’s wrong with that you might ask, well, I really like to meet the person, who wants the dress making, it is no small undertaking and I am passionate about what I do. Even if we don’t proceed onto a working relationship, making a bespoke garment for someone is something I put a lot of myself into, and until I meet that person and we engage with each other it is too hard to put a monetary value to what I am going to create. So I am just letting you all know , that from now there will be no more telephone quoting. It’s hard to explain how I am feeling right now, maybe it was just a vibe I got from the person that telephoned me, but I don’t like what I am feeling. So I thought I would put it out there.

21.01.2022 Soul Sisters, exquisite gowns, love my job

21.01.2022 I’m back, we had a fabulous holiday, but now I have to work really hard to pay for it I’m back, we had a fabulous holiday, but now I have to work really hard to pay for it

20.01.2022 My latest acquisition, a beautiful series of paper cut designs to adorn my sewing room . I really appreciate artisans, and Sue Codee is one of my favourites. Thank you Sue, for this beautiful artwork. It’s the story of my life in dresses

20.01.2022 Oh how I love my job, today I got a call from a mother of one of the girls I did a big alteration on the outfit for the school ball, and she thanked me for my skills. This is one of many calls I have had this ball season, it is wonderful, and I feel so happy. I love school ball season, thank you too to all the lovely young ladies, young men and mums and dads that came to my little workshop, and trusting me with your outfits

15.01.2022 Fabric is tangible, it encompasses decades of memories, to say I love fabric is an understatement. This week in particular 2 new clients have brought fabric from their past, each with its own unique story and of course a lifetime of memories. I am re-making it into something for each of them , to prolong the life of this wonderful medium / keeper of memories ,to be cherished and worn again with love, creating new memories

13.01.2022 Original pattern 1957 Dior dress under construction, I love it, my client is going to look amazing

13.01.2022 I am now very technologically up to date, I have a square reader, which means I can take payment by bank cards . BUT, the down side is this, if it is a debit card it will cost 1.1%more to cost of your job and if it is a credit card it will add 2.2% o to the cost of the job . I suppose that’s the price you have to pay for technology

10.01.2022 Oh Tina you look amazing, in my sewing room you looked gorgeous, Krysta really knows how to capture beauty
