25.01.2022 As the sun rose this morning, the first of the mungbean crops to be delivered to our grading facility were being sprayed out in preparation for harvest. Spraying out at the right time is crucial. Your crop should have at least 90% black pods to begin dessication. Timing of your harvest is also key. There is often some tendency for growers to harvest too soon after dessication. For best results, wait for maximum dry-down of leaf and stem moisture. This will of course be dependant on a number of factors including the type of dessicant used, the rate it was applied at and also temperature and moisture conditions. Please consult with your agronomist for further advice regarding these processes and your crops individual requirements.

19.01.2022 UPDATE: 70% Black Pods present at yesterday's crop inspection. Crop is scheduled to be sprayed out in preparation for harvest approximately mid next week.

17.01.2022 Keeping on top of insect pressure in your mungbeans is vital for optimum yield potential. Time is of the essence, and due to the current wet conditions we have been experiencing, means that many farmers are unable to utilise traditional spraying methods. That's where aerial crop spraying comes in (and the kids get a kick out of watching it too!)

10.01.2022 First black pods starting to show up, 7 weeks from planting.

06.01.2022 MUNGBEAN GROWER DECLARATIONS Mungbean harvest is quickly approaching for some of our growers. We thought it timely to remind everyone that when delivering your mungbeans to our facility, they must be accompanied by a completed Grower Declaration. For each mungbean crop harvested a seperate declaration must be completed. Here is the link to the form. ... http://www.mungbean.org.au/a/amagrower-dec-2016-17-form.pdf You can either print it out, complete and bring with you when making your delivery or alternatively email to [email protected]. Should you have issues downloading the form, please contact Belinda and she will organise to get one to you. These declarations are very important, and most buyers will ask for them to check compliance with MRL's (maximum residue levels). The sale of your mungbeans may be delayed without a completed declaration Thank you in advance for your co-operation. Wishing you all a successful harvest!
