24.01.2022 About Liam Allen..... In May last year, Mick and Jen’s youngest son Liam, noticed a swelling in his tummy. Scans showed a mass on his spleen with surgery recommended immediately. After removal of Liam’s spleen, adrenal gland and part of his stomach, the devastating diagnosis, one week after his 14th birthday, was confirmed to be Stage 3 Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma. ... Chemo started straight away. Liam is a trooper he has muscled through the chemo and amazed his doctors with the same stubborn determination as his Dad. The family is hopeful that his treatment has worked, as he recovers slowly from the brutal chemotherapy he endured with the maturity of a young man well beyond his years. This added burden, on top of Mick’s diagnosis, was a huge blow, both emotionally and financially for the Allen Family. Two is too much!!
