23.01.2022 I get asked quite often what I invest in. - The most important thing for me is myself, then my relationships, then my business. - While most people spend money on luxuries, I enjoy investing my money on seminars, conferences, books and travel.... - What about you? See more
18.01.2022 Not everyone wants to live a luxury lifestyle or be famous wherever they go. BUT everyone wants some sort of freedom in their life. Over my journey there have been 4 things that everyone wants. These 4 universal wants underpin everyones motives for what they do. Here’s a tough question. If you could only have one of these, which would it be?
13.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Fathers teach us important lessons in life. As a son, there is so much I have learnt from my father growing up. I’ve seen the hard work hes put in to provide for the family; coming to Australia as an immigrant, battling ankylosing spondylitis, building a small business, then building an overseas business and an online business.... It’d be a lie if I said I could understand what sacrifices he’s gone through and the trials hes faced whilst growing up, yet he’s able to raise 2 sons and be an example for both of us. I have no doubt that parenting isn’t easy, I have no doubt raising great kids are not easy so I’m eternally grateful for having a great father who has taught me many lessons in life. Hopefully I turned out okay too . Here are some of my favourite lessons: 1. Always stick to your values, integrity is key. 2. Finish what you started. 3. If you do something, do it right. Thank you to dad for always supporting me and pushing me to be better. I remember the day I told my parents that I hated uni and I was never going to work a job to make someone else rich. I wanted to drop out, launch my own business and become an entrepreneur. He told me Son, aslong as you’re under my roof, we’ll always support you and feed you no matter how successful you are or how much you have failed, so go out there and chase your dreams, we will support you no matter what you choose because we love you. I am eternally grateful I have supportive parents who trust in my judgement and believe in me, rather than the fantasy of a ‘respectable’ career pathway. Thank you dad for always being supportive! Happy Father’s Day! Because of you, I know what sort of father I want to be in the future.
10.01.2022 When COVID started, we had a choice of playing victim and letting this pandemic play a negative role in our businesses or we could flip the switch and play the victor. The answer was simple. COVID became a great catalyst for opportunity. We quickly went to the drawing board to put together as many ideas as possible and execute them as soon as possible. We know that opportunity creeps further away the longer you wait, the more you hesitate. So it was simple for us. Idea > Exec...ute > Review > Adjust > Scale. Together with my amazing partner @xixiplease, we put together the business idea for our newest E-comm venture. We saw a gap in the market, sourced our products, put together our marketing strategy and began designing EVERYTHING from product to website to packaging. We decided to test the business and launch it. Started is better than perfect and so we launched our brand new business at the end of October. After using TikTok as our preferred platform of choice, we figured out the key to going viral and leveraged that to our advantage. To both of our surprise, we sold out in 24 hours of every single product we had and thus our proven idea became the foundation our growing and thriving business. By the end of the month we are now sold out again and this business is only 7 weeks old. I have no doubt that we will be growing our venture bigger and bigger in 2021 and beyond. Here are some things that really helped us: Leverage social media, it truly is the best free tool for any business. Make sure you know exactly how to appeal to your customer, what's the story behind your product/service, and what can the customers get out of using your product/service. Know your 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month growth strategy and goals. Make sure your product/service solves a problem that is often front of mind for your consumer and if it doesn't solve a front of mind problem, make sure you are compelling enough in educating them to see that there is a problem. And all of these things came together this year to help us go from 0 to almost $30k a month within the 2nd month of the business without spending more than $150 on advertising. @ Sydney, Australia
08.01.2022 Yooo is this the new Fast and Furious? Is that Han? We’re getting close to the end of the year now so I thought it’d be a nice time to share my brother’s story. Wind back to the end of his final year of highschool before the HSC hits. Everyone is freaking out about their degrees and their exams and what uni and whats next.... We’re sitting down eating dinner and he tells my parents to their face that he’s not going to uni and it’s irrelevant to his dreams and goals. You probably guessed what happened next... full mentor breakdown from mum and dad flipping out trying to reason with him. I just laughed knowing that it’s all going to be alright. Your dream is worth more than that piece of paper from uni is. He began to dedicate himself to his craft of drawing. That was 5 years ago. During that time he started to figure out ways to monetise his artwork and he took to blogs and forums to sell his art in the form of stickers. He got good, he’s quite well known now in the space of anime artists and itashas. He may be one of the only people in Australia that does this and does it well. He slowly grew his business over time to earn a decent income for himself, definitely not needing to find a job which was super exciting for him. My parents also came to accept that he’s probs not going to uni and he can afford to live his own life now without them stressing which was great. After diving into digital marketing and social media, I thought we should partner and build the crap out of the business this year. This was pre-COVID. We wanted to make this huge and become THE go to anime business and car club in Australia and build a brand that’s known globally. We put our heads down and went to work and now we’re about to end the year at about 10x where he was this time last year! This week is actually our 1 year anniversary of collaborating together as brothers. Me and my brother drifted apart during highschool but this business has given us an opportunity to reconnect. We still have our differences, and we still argue and fight but we both have a mutual respect that without each other this business won’t be where it is today. Read more on FB...
