Great takeaways from her presentation, good lessons for us all no matter how large or small your business is. The resounding message from all the truely successful Entrepreneurs is Operational Resilience through good Risk Management. An in-depth understanding of the environment within which you operate your business. Understanding your economic risks, regulatory risks, financial ris...ks, social risks, geographic risks, operational risks and of course the big one, your people risks. These are all critical survival skills no one, not even Janine Allis can possibly know. One of the resounding points she stresses is surrounding yourself with truely trustworthy experts to help you in these areas. I ask myself these questions of the experts I surround myself with; Are my experts truly trustworthy? Do I believe they have got my back? I listen to my gut instinct, it usually serves me well. This is a really good reason to research your supplier in Australia and make sure, if they are importing, they carry the correct Liability Insurance as a Manufacturer.
