22.01.2022 The value of mortgage broking! I thought the royal commission was about good customer outcomes? How can making the customers pay for our service be to their benefit? Most people can’t afford to but they still want good outcomes. I have worked hard for 10 years in this industry and always put the customer first. As a broker we do a lot of things free of charge.i am licenced. I’ve had to get a C class licence, then a B class licence, an Australian credit licence, a diploma of f...inance, take on anti money laundering requirements, accreditation’s, I have to abide by the regulations. I am fully qualified! Yet the Haynes report generalises say brokers act in their own interest and were commission focussed what a load of rot. So the major banks can rub they’re hands together because if it’s not viable for the brokers they’ll leave and guess what? The major banks have deep pockets for advertising you’ll get to see a lot more of them and some of the smaller banks will fade away with the brokers. You’ll get less choice and competition and you’ll be charged for it. It’s the politicians that need the royal commission on their perks and Superannuation payouts funded by the taxpayers.
