In wet season the river swells to such a point that a boat is needed to access the residential house on the other side. The sign represents the Australian Agricultural Company’s (AACo’s) long standing history in the Australian livestock industry for nearly 200 years. Establishing themselves in 1824 in the Port Stephens area of the Colony of NSW, some six years later in 1831 Shorthorn bulls were imported from England to develop the company herds.
