09.01.2022 Under the professional spotlight this week are hair stylists!! Hair stylists or barbers are often in stooped positions catering for heights of clients or lengths of hair. Additionally, equipment needing quick or repetitive movements of the upper limb is constant. Quite often cranky shoulders and necks, lower and mid backs, elbow and wrist combinations can be found! These are not ideal, especially if we have to get up and go to work again tomorrow! So what can we do? How inconvenient is it when we get sick and stressed because we are pushing our bodies too far? "She'll be right" or "run it off" or "I'll sleep later and catch up on the weekend" sometimes just won't cut it. Think about ways you can recharge - a walk on the beach? A coffee with a friend?
