24.01.2022 Kara + Cody // Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge A 4 year romance that started off with ice cream led to this special day. Rain, hail or shine Kara was determined to... make her day as magical as she has dreamt it would be. As the fog rolled in to Mecure Clear Mountain Lodge, Kara took her first steps down the aisle. As the rain began to fall Cody couldn't wipe the smile off his face as his eyes met his wife to be. The rain began to ease and left us with the most magical low lying clouds as our backdrop. It is so true that your day is what you make of it and Kara and Cody certainly made the most of what the weather threw at them. Daniel and I would like to say what an absolute pleasure it has been getting to know you, and how happy we are that we could have you marry us. You made the whole process so seamless and easy, we felt so comfortable around you and I think that showed in our ceremony as we were able to relax and be ourselves on the day. I promise to present to you a registered Certificate of Marriage (issued by the Australian Government containing the national emblem.) Most importantly, I promise that at the end of the day, you will be able to take your partner's name. I welcome and look forward to the day when two people in love can tie the knot legally, regardless of their gender. I know it's a long and painful wait for the LGBTI community.
