19.01.2022 Does diet cause AD/HD? The short answer is No. However, diet can effect behaviour in children and diet can certainly worsen AD/HD symptoms. A well designed stud...y found that after following a 5 week elimination diet, AD/HD symptoms improved. The diet did not just focus on sugars but a range of possible foods. So for some children with AD/HD, they may be sensitive and reactive to certain foods and could benefit from an elimination diet.
