23.01.2022 BREAKING: Budget 2020/2021 and Immigration. Yes many of you are freaking out today, but we are here. This news is most important for partner visa applicants and business innovation and investment applicants. ... To start: Australian Federal treasurer Hons. Josh Frydenburg MP announced this afternoon that Australian borders are not projected to open until late 2021. Also there is much more news for visa applicants, prospective visa applicants and their families. See below. Disclaimer: Note this is strictly not considered professional and/or advice. This is just personal opinion until any measures have been approved and/or implemented. We take no responsibility for actions and/our outcomes resulting from this post. 1. Sponsorship provision being implemented.. In Dec 2018 the new sponsorship measures were approved, receiving royal assent 10 Jun 2019. The sponsorship application changes have not been implemented as yet for sponsors to be approved before a person can apply. Last nights budget outlined that Home Affairs "will mandate character checks and the sharing of personal information as part of mandatory sponsorship application, and subject sponsor to enforceable sponsorship obligations. Note this already exists. Important to note in this summary that the government have not mentioned the sponsorship pre-approval in the budget document as outlined in the changed legislative instrument from 2018. This is important to many of you. Will will inform you of any further news. 2. Partner visa - English language requirements for Partner visa applicants and their permanent resident sponsors. This seems to not apply to Australian citizen sponsors, but is still disconcerting. If an application is refused based on English language, this is considered discrimination and a breach of certain international humanitarian obligations. 3. Business innovation and investment. Changes implemented to increase quality of investments and applicants. Increase in fees by 11.3%. 4. Refunds and waivers. 300 prospective marriage, some visitor and skilled workers subsequent VAC waived and Working holiday subsequent VAC waived or refunded. Increase to Partner visa annual processing numbers. Priority processing given to regional based partner visa applicants. No changes to migration numbers at 160,000 overall, but government will focus on onshore and New Zealand migration, and business programs. Will inform of any other major changes.

23.01.2022 Net migration is its lowest in decades. We predict that skilled migration will have more allocations towards the end of this year, or early next year. Migration is the key to national GDP. Political grandstanding will not work when the balance of long term economics is involved. #politics #immigration #australia #lockdown #covid_19 #aussie #borderclosure #frontier #humanrights #travelexemption #family #workvisa #work #job #constitutionalcrisis

23.01.2022 Closed again. If you are a skilled worker (they only took specific priority skills this round) and/or you are a business innovation or investment 188 applicant, be ready for the next round..... !!

22.01.2022 Hello Australia

20.01.2022 Historical moment for Australia today when interstate borders between NSW and Victoria opened.

19.01.2022 Love our Byron Bay clients. This was a more complex case with a long term overstay which we had to work around. Very happy client who now have permanent residency. .

18.01.2022 We get phone calls from traumatised partner visa holders who state they have been abused by their Australian partners and don't know what to do. Please see information below if you believe this may apply to you. List of help services is at the end of this post. The Federal government has just provided this advice to migration agents for domestic violence victims. Family violence and your visa...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Great news from last week. New changes for those applying for subclass 485 and 887 who are offshore. You will be allowed to lodge your visa while offshore, with the grant period starting from date of entry.... https://www.instagram.com/p/CFXkVAzFcBh/?igshid=zexre39eqxrl

11.01.2022 Australia has a large surfing culture. With an estimated 2 million people (of a population of 25 million) classifying themselves as a surfer. This means waves can be quite competitive.... A wave machine like this, located on the North-eastern seaboard is a great way to have some perfect waves to yourself.

11.01.2022 Are you on a 485 visa??? Updated.. Small business investment pathway is a QLD regional visa pathway (subclass 491) that can potentially lead to Permanent Residency. ... For this visa, if you have *a positive skill assessment (even in an unrelated field) *full time working rights *you can invest $100,000 into an existing business over a six month period. *employ one Australian staff member for 20 hours a week *be committed to keep the business and live in the regional area. This includes evidence of money to settle. *Prior business experience There is much more detail and process, but this visa gives you a three year pathway to PR (subclass 191).

01.01.2022 Year almost done. Happy Monday
