21.01.2022 The road toll in perspective Much has been said by the media at this time of year about the road toll. Suicides in Australia were over the 3000 mark with forty percent related to mood disorders thirty per cent to alcohol and drug problems and twenty per cent related to anxiety problems. The road toll is increasing and so is the suicide rate. The road toll will not decrease and the suicide rate will not decrease as society and individuals are vulnerable without adequate access to resources and opportunities for a better quality of life. There are 1.1 million Australians living in poverty. Something to think about?
