24.01.2022 A leader is someone who can see how things can be improved and who rallies people to move toward that better vision. Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first. Just being able to motivate people isn’t enough leaders need to be empathetic and connect with people to be successful. (Jacob Morgan, The Future Leader) Victoria Police only need to look towards certain senior officers, to understand why they are quickly losing the respect of ...many Victorians. When you have a leader/s who will openly use words such as a dog returning to eat his own vomit, you understand that this is not leadership- it is bullying, and outright rude and derogatory. We teach our children that language and actions like this are not acceptable, yet we only need to look at our leaders to find where it is coming from. Victoria Police, must fix these issues. It is important to note that while the majority of police do a great job, the actions of just a few members impact the overall trust they have with the public. If Victoria Police and the Government accept this behaviour, then they must also accept that a small minority of the public will mirror that. No matter which side of the political side you are on, we must call out this behaviour and hold the Senior Leaders of both Victoria Police and the State Government accountable. If it were in private business, by now lawsuits be flying everywhere.

22.01.2022 Something I cam across via a friend of mine, that is well written and well said. Please remember that no matter what side of the political debate you sit on, there are more and more comments being made that are actually doing mental health harm as people have a right to an opinion- providing that opinion is not rude, racist or threatening, which we are seeing more and more of. If we as humans, can not create debate in topics in a healthy manner the maybe just stop commenting and making the situation for many people worse.

21.01.2022 No matter which side of the political spectrum you support- Dan Andrew’s must start answering the tough questions. Why will he not release all data that he is using to the public? If he is using raw data as he is now stating and not the modelling, then he must release a full breakdown of cases on a daily basis (not just the current data released by the DHHS), but also a breakdown of; - age groups on a daily basis - tests per LGA - number of healthcare workers per location (no...t just blocking them all as health care workers) - number of aged care residents (this can be found if you trawl through data- however should be announced at the press conference) - number of recoveries as a % of cases (rather than just hiding that information in the daily CHO updates) - number of COVID-19 deaths with no co-morbidities vs COVID-19 deaths with co-morbidities See more

20.01.2022 It seems that the Andrews Labor Government as well as all the Senior Public Servants have a serious case of Amnesia. It is a form of memory loss. Some people with amnesia have difficulty forming new memories, often can't recall facts or past experiences. If they can not answer simple questions (and as any business leader will tell you, meeting notes should be recorded), then are they medically fit to hold their positions? https://www.theguardian.com//victoria-premiers-department-

12.01.2022 A sad day for Victoria Police with this footage. There are many Victoria Police who are doing the right thing, and a small minority who are taking the use of force beyond reasonable. While, the person's behaviour can not clearly be ascertained by the footage, what is clear, is that the stomp to the head, has come after they have had ample opportunity to subdue him- he can be seen clearly on his hand and knees, prior to the stomp. If 4 police, were not able to keep him subdued... at that point, then there are serious issues with the training of the police force today. This has gone from reasonable force to unreasonable force at that point in time. At that point, the police has become no better than the thug that they were arresting (and yes, by the looks of what occurred prior to that, he should have been arrested). For those who support this type of police behaviour- remember it might be you that experience this, if we do not stamp out the small minority of police that are using unreasonable force. 11.01.2022 An interesting read to share with people who are solely focused on the death rate of COVID. However, we rely on a strong health system to protect lives, and to do this we rely on economic prosperity to continue to fund the health system. While, currently it seems the sole focus is on protecting the lives on those small % with COVID, many other areas of healthcare has been forgotten- in Victoria, nearly all elective surgery has been put on hold. These are surgeries that may p...revent long term costs to the economy. The health of people, must be balanced with the economy to ensure that there is a health care system in the future that is able to be funded and supported- not one that runs out of money, because we have destroyed the economic strength that Australia once had. We know that poverty kills many people, through lack of nutrition, lack of access to health care and lack of mental health. Domestic violence also increases as people can no longer afford to pay the bills. The following is a link to an interesting well researched document produced by the Australian National University, that highlights just how many Australians will potentially enter poverty over the coming months, if we do not rethink our approach to management of COVID in Australia. https://csrm.cass.anu.edu.au//Impact_of_Covid19_JobKeeper_ In summary between 650,000 and 750,000 Australians may enter poverty with a vast majority coming from Victoria, NSW and QLD.

02.01.2022 Regardless of your stance on Lockdowns and which Government is in Power- I urge you to read the changes to the COVID-19 Omnibus Bill. (https://www.legislation.vic.gov.au//covid-19-omnibus-emerg) The COVID-19 Omnibus Bill allows for the Andrews Government to appoint virtually anyone (including private security guards) as Authorised Officers with wide-ranging powers including entry, search, seizure and detention. It allows for Authorised Officers to preemptively detain a 'hig...h-risk' individual who they think may not comply with the law. However, there is no clear definition as to what "high-risk" is.... and do we want private security guards to hold this much potential power? No reasonable Victorian could support some of the measures in Labor’s bill.
