25.01.2022 Have you ever done something so many times, repeated a negative pattern over and over until you hit rock bottom? Until you cannot get up one more time to do it all again. There is a reason why we push ourselves to these extremes (and they vary for everyone), and it is so that our minds can access NEW information. You see, we keep repeating the same mistakes in ultimately the same way and getting what we perceive to be the same outcome. Basically, nothing changes, nothin...g new comes in to our view. However, if we hit rock bottom, it usually comes with a decision to give up to a degree, or change something were doing and thinking. So we free up space for something NEW to occur. To THINK new/different things, to DO new/different things. It gives us another choice to follow so that we can finally start climbing back up. Question is, do you choose better for your future while youre down there, or worse? (do you choose to be grateful, humble and grow or do you choose to become defensive, vengeful or closed - you have a choice) See more
25.01.2022 Todays thought topic is love (internal and external)... Do you hold a want for a higher quality love? What does it look like? Do you keep yourself down with low expectations? How did you get those expectations? Do you treat yourself with the same love that you want to receive from others? What can you do to make sure youre filling your own cup first? .... 24.01.2022 What is your ratio of thought vs action? Personally, I have to work a lot harder to take action than I do to think , reflect and analyse. Its important to find a balance of these traits within yourself. Know yourself well. Know your strengths and weaknesses in order to fill in the gaps or scale back where you need. The goal is to lead your best life, so what do you need to DO more or less of, and what do you need to THINK more or less about?
23.01.2022 I cant get up because his body is resting on my arm.... I love this cat! His name is Boss (or Bossman), and he was rescued in March this year through the amazing work of @cathavenau. I cant tell you what a game changer this was for me personally, going from being on my own and responsible for only myself (which I wasnt doing a very good job at anyway), to being relied upon every day. This was a big change for me, and one that Im very, very grateful for! ... It has meant that for at least a portion of my day, every day without fail, I have to focus on something else. I have to consider the care and happiness of another being. I know this is normal and common behaviour for most of us, I just want to break it down for a second. We take it for granted, just how being needed actually HELPS us with mental health and moving forward in life... Interactions with other beings is so important (especially in person) for feedback, perspective and just... new! Thanks to Bossman, for being my amazing friend and always making me laugh! See more

22.01.2022 So in the spirit of reconnecting with yourself, grab a notepad and pen and write in a single word for each item, how you are doing today? Right now? How is the physical side of your life, in one word? Make it as descriptive as possible, not just "crap" or "good", youre trying to get to know yourself. Also good to note if you perceive it as a positive, negative or neutral too. This is one of my base exercises and I do it as often as I can to keep feeling strong and clear (no matter what the answers are - knowledge and self awareness is what gives me clarity and strength). 21.01.2022 That was a HUGE day of writing! I am a little exhausted as I relived some things in the massive detail required to write them down for others to read. Im really enjoying this process to be honest, its fascinating, exciting and also nerve wracking.... 1/3 of the way there! Its so cool that its starting to literally look like a laid out book, not just random notes!
20.01.2022 One of the many quotes highlighted in my recent read of Boundaries by Anne Katherine. Its heavy, but a very important thing to remember, especially when in close relationships. Dont allow yourself to become lost in the life of another. Find and maintain your own healthy boundaries for the good of everyone (and I do mean everyone). Until recently, I had never even considered, let alone developed boundaries (for many reasons) and had some damaging intimate relationships as ...a result - so I am putting the work in, to establish and maintain my own now. For the betterment of myself and anyone else I encounter (be it intimate, friendship, colleagues, clients etc - we all function and make better choices when our boundaries are clear). Think about it today, what do you sacrifice for others without protest? What do you allow that you really dont like? What do you do that might breach someone elses boundary? Are you your own person or do you give others responsibility over you in parts? See more
20.01.2022 In order to create a desirable level of awareness and wisdom, we need to understand things, fully. To understand something fully (and not simply make a polarised judgement like good or bad) we must experience the event physically, feel it emotionally and reflect on it mentally to learn. Discussing it also helps to give mental perspective. Doing one without the others, gives lessons; doing all, gives wisdom and growth!

Physically and emotionally. Its been an interesting read thats also allowed me to engage my own choices for future (even though Ive not finished reading it yet).

11.01.2022 Sometimes we can overcomplicate things (I definitely can!) so I just wanted to bring it back to basics for a moment... The fundamental rules to change things for yourself, can be considered to consist of these elements: 1 Have the INTENTION to change.... Now this can be hard because at that early stages of change, were fighting strong ego and habits, so I want to reiterate that you dont have to know it all or have it all figured out at this level, you simply must hold ...the decision that change is truly what youre going to do (even though you have zero idea of what it will look like or where to start)... This will be enough to start the process. 2 Get some TRAINING on whatever it is you need to change... Educate yourself, read, discuss - and please remember to consult people and resources that are actually credible to what youre seeking. e.g. Dont ask your parents about how to have a great relationship if they dont have one themselves. Dont ask your friend their opinion on starting a business if theyve never even considered it! (sounds obvious but we do it all the time, right!?) 3 Maintain your EFFORTS.... This one speaks for itself, youll have days where you do nothing but old habits, and days where you will be inspired. Just stick with it and know that each day is a step towards your end goal (regardless of how fast youre travelling). Find ways to keep your focus on your change too, reflecting and reminding yourself WHY youre doing this. Being around supportive people, or at least encouraging content is invaluable also.... 09.01.2022 How do you communicate? Do you talk AT people or with them? Do you give enough time for them to get their story out. I know Ive been guilty of cutting people off to get my point across, to be heard. Its a skill Im working on changing every day. Asking high quality questions and watching the beauty that rolls out of the other persons soul, is an honour to witness. People will receive more from you (in terms of personal growth), by feeling heard, than if you were to give the best advice on the planet!! Try it out, go and ask a great question to someone, and just close your mouth and listen. Watch what happens

The work I do is about shifting personal energy (the way you feel) about things in life, to bring you less anxiety and stress and more confidence to live from a better position within yourself. So if this question knocks you, it'll be of great benefit for you to logically think of the GOOD things within the perceive...d terrible... (I don't know about you, but 5 mins of scrolling at the moment, is enough to bring panic and unease about daily life) So one reason why I would want to contract it, is to give my system a chance to build additional defences for future life. I plan to travel a lot, and who knows what else this would strengthen my immunity for!? What else can you come up with? Do you need to have a break, would being unwell give you that chance? Do you need to be taken care of? Do you need to pay more attention to your health? This would certainly give you that! Seriously guys, THINK differently and you'll FEEL differently about all this.... giving yourself more mental peace (and without going too deep, if you get grateful for what the virus would bring you ahead of time, you'll all but assure it doesn't affect you!) 08.01.2022 As much as this practice should be an every day thing, time markers like New Years really help to create an opportunity to do this. Whatever youre up to (even if youre busy working) this new year, take a time out to; STOP thinking about everything in the future or past REFLECT on your year, on who or what has made it special, challenging and why. On what youve done that you loved, and on what youve done that youd prefer not to do again.... ADJUST yourself... This may take a while, so put a (manageable) list together of the little tweaks you need to make, to ensure the next year will get you closer to your goals for yourself. Make a plan! You got this! 05.01.2022 When you communicate with someone, do you only listen to their words? Are you solely focused on their body language and how they appear? Do you feel their vibe more than anything else they might have to say? It takes so much to communicate well with others, and listening is a massive part of that equation (something Im actively working on too!). As a race, weve become so good at moulding impressions to fit an image, its distorted our view of the truth a bit, I feel.... . So take care when you speak to anyone, to have a clean slate free of judgement; open ears, eyes and heart to listen well and respond from a more educated place. This will improve your communication as well as become a great gift to those you hear! See more

04.01.2022 If you can develop the ability to READ your emotions, you give yourself the best chance to grow... What I mean by this, is if you have an experience that causes emotion in you (someone says something that makes you angry, sad, frustrated, or you get annoyed with what someone is doing for example) and you take the time to understand why YOU became emotional (i.e. take ownership of the way you feel because theyre YOUR emotions), then you can get out of your repeating cycles / habits and GROW!
03.01.2022 Im not sure how many times Ive mentioned this now, probably a lot! You dont ACTUALLY get a choice, until you can SEE youve got a choice!!! So that cycle of negative experiences will continue because you will allow it. Itll be all you know! Logically you might understand its not a good thing and that others have better so why cant you, but your brain wont connect the dots (so to speak), for you and YOUR life, without seeing something new. Thats why self exploration and development is so critical - to get different, we must be willing to think and do and feel differently!
