01.01.2022 Vitamin D deficiency effects ~30% of Australians which can contribute to many health concerns, including osteoporosis & type 2 diabetes. For most Australians, the main source of vitamin D is from sunlight. Do you know how much sun exposure is recommended?
01.01.2022 DO YOU HAVE A FUSSY EATER? When your child is a fussy eater, preparing lunches can be pretty stressful and time consuming. Here are three quick tips that might help you get through the week!... 1. Plan lunches together: If your kids think it was their decision, theyre more likely to eat it. Take them to the grocery store and gather their food for the week. 2. Emphasise the nutrition of each food and what it will do for them: Some children need a reason. Tell them their sandwich is giving them energy for soccer practice and their banana is helping their brain work out maths equations 3. Try new foods regularly: Dont be afraid to try them more than once. Kids may need to be offered foods more than 10 times before accepting it. And this goes for texture too! Your kids may like chopped carrot, but to them grated carrot is a completely new food.
