25.01.2022 Caption time! What do you think Bailey is thinking in this photo?
25.01.2022 Any guesses what this might be?
23.01.2022 When the afternoon light hits the beautiful Chandon just right. I am LOVING the images captured with my custom photo halter, simple, effective, safe and super easy to remove in post production. Liberty images can be incorporated into any equine photo session, for more information and details about photo sessions please visit my enquiry guide: https://www.allirafontana.com/enquiry-guide/
23.01.2022 Sometimes I teach my dogs a pointless trick just for a laugh. Other times I teach them a pointless trick and it gets over 65,000 views on Instagram... As a photographer, I have been avoiding the new Reels feature on Instagram for weeks. But, finally, I caved and recorded my dogs being cute. And I guess the world thinks they are cute too. Social media is a funny thing, but a fun thing I enjoy.... If you want to see said video of my dogs being cute, here is the link to it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CGix7hRp1HU/
22.01.2022 We are back Sydney! What an absolutely amazing weekend away in Junee experiencing the country life. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the change of scenery, and even got to meet the famous Dog on the Tuckerbox. All emails and orders will be processed this evening and tomorrow, thank you all for your patience. I’ve actually not taken a weekend off in years, so it felt so good to not check the inbox for a few days. In saying that, I’ve had a few session enquires already come through. Dates for this month are very limited, so I’d you’re looking to take advantage of the beautiful weather and beat the heat, please get in contact before I book out for the rest of the year.
21.01.2022 I love this series of images from Dodge's photo session. As you can see, Dodge LOVES the water and playing fetch, and what better way to combine the two that with the ever picturesque Macquarie Park in Windsor. It is relatively quiet during the week considering it is an off-leash dog park, which makes it a perfect photo session location for water-loving dogs.
20.01.2022 I can’t believe this little lady is a whole year old now, how time flies! Fern celebrated her first birthday yesterday, and I still remember her puppy photo session as if we captured the images only days ago. If you would like to see more of this gorgeous girl (trust me, you do!), I’ll pop a link to her Instagram profile below.
19.01.2022 I'm sorry little man, was I interrupting you? This little boy, as well as his three sisters, will be up for adoption very soon through the lovely staff at Rouse Hill Family Vets. The whole litter is currently being raised by Nurse Brittany, and were an absolute blast to photograph yesterday afternoon. Expect MANY more cute photos to come. Sorry not sorry. If you are thinking of adding a new little four-legged friend to the family, do get in contact with Rouse Hill Family Vets.
19.01.2022 I can’t believe I missed International Dog Day yesterday! Honestly, what kind of dog owner am I... But, as they say, better late than never! I’m sure there are a more than a few crazy dog mums out there like me, so let’s share the love by posting pictures of our dogs in the comments below! Sharing is caring you know.
18.01.2022 Yes, I’m crazy, that’s nothing new. My idea of an awesome Sunday is driving a 6 hour round trip to spend time with my boys Chico and Archie in the snow, like the majority of Sydney did yesterday. Sure, the traffic was a pain in the butt, but seeing the joy in my dogs faces as they explored and walked through the ancient trees in the Jenolan State Forest was so worth it. We made our way up a little later than most, so by the time we got to the forest the snow had stopped. But, there was plenty on the ground to run and roll in. We even saw fresh deer hoof prints! I think we are due for a long weekend away down south next snow season. The boys had so much fun, I’d love to spend more time with them in a different world, even a temporary one. I already can’t wait!
18.01.2022 I will never get sick of capturing silhouette images, never.
18.01.2022 Today marks 3 years since Chico entered our lives, and wriggled his way into my heart. For the first 4 years of his life, Chico never left his backyard and socialised with the outside world. Although being of Border Collie breeding, he wasn't very switched on and was a very dull dog. He wasn't sure how to act around other dogs or with people, which is why I decided to keep him and dedicate time to teach him how to be a good dog and not be afraid of people. Fast forward 3 year...s, and Chico is a very bright and intelligent dog. It took many, many months of training and guidance from professional dog behaviourists, but I am so glad I decided to keep this adorable goof-ball. He gets on famously with Archie, and they truly are best buddies. Here is to many more years of walking up to your face right in mine every morning.
18.01.2022 I’m pretty sure I photographed a real life Unicorn the other week... I’m still pinching myself. Honestly how stunning is Miss Rahnee? Just wait until you see the liberty images.
17.01.2022 When the afternoon light hits the beautiful Chandon just right. 17.01.2022 A somewhat tricky Photoshop edit condensed from 20 minutes to just under 5. Not only was the photo halter and lunge line removed, but a large fence also needed to be taken out to make the image pop. The majority of photos from Willow’s session were captured in a grass arena and back paddock. Photos can be captured just about anywhere, including your own property. Photoshop sure helps, but the knowledge and expertise of finding the right light and capturing it takes years to develop. Don’t let your property put you off a photo session, I am more than sure we can capture magic for you and your stunning steeds.
17.01.2022 Sometimes an image needs a little bit, or a lot, of Photoshop help to reach its full potential. It may no be a fully polished and perfect image, but it certainly looks much better without the dark trees on the left. What do you think?
17.01.2022 How awesome does Dodge look in his custom frame and acrylic block?! Also included in his order is a bamboo USB with digital files from his session. Custom wall art and desktop pieces can be created from professional images, or your snapshots taken at home. If you’re looking to create a unique gift do get in touch.
17.01.2022 Words cannot describe how thrilled I am to have finally captured a silhouette image of a horse rearing! It’s been an image on my photography bucket list for years, and yesterday afternoon I was able to tick it off. A huge thank you to Miranda and Alicia for helping me capture one of my dream images.

Orders must be in by the end of November to be delivered before Christmas.
15.01.2022 Sometimes you just have to roll with the weather for photo sessions, even if there is smoke in the air and the wind is blowing a gale. At least it made for some pretty hair and forelock flicks!
13.01.2022 I’m so torn between the colour and black and white versions of this image of Havana, which do you prefer? I do love the brown touches in the colour, but black and white is always so stunning!
12.01.2022 Can you guess Walter's breed? I am currently in the middle of creating a brand new welcome information booklet for session bookings, and while searching through my archives I found this silhouette image of Walter. Can you guess what breed he is? I will give you a hint, he was an 8 month old puppy when this photo was taken at our photo session so imagine him bigger and more grown up.
10.01.2022 I’m an introvert, not that I come across as one if you meet me in person. I remember, during my high school years, not sleeping for weeks when an assignment was due that involved speaking in front of the class. I would fumble over my worlds, stutter like you would not believe and wished the floor would swallow me up. Yet, here I am now, teaching both private and group dog training classes, puppy school classes and, more recently, one-on-one photography lessons. If you had tol...d a teenage me that in 15 years I would be doing these things I would have laughed, honestly. On Tuesday I had the best time exploring a new park with my friend Pearl and her gorgeous Labrador Beren. Pearl has picked up her camera again after some time, and wanted to learn how to use it to its full potential. We spent the afternoon discussing camera settings, how lenses can effect an image, how to find the right sunlight and where to position Beren. As much as we tried to keep a water-loving dog dry, Beren ended up in the creek. I couldn’t help myself and captured some hilarious images of him having a blast with a stick he found. Zoom in to see his facial expression in its full glory. I’m thinking about possibly holding some small group and private photography lessons in the future. Thoughts?
10.01.2022 Double trouble. How cute are they with their little paws up? These young ladies are looking for a new home. If you’re looking for a new four-legged friend, please contact the lovely folk at Rouse Hill Family Vet for more information and to meet the litter.
10.01.2022 Hello there new lens, welcome to the family! I’ve been eyeing off the 135mm f2 lens for some time now, and when one became available for purchase last week I jumped at the chance. This lens will be PERFECT for both equine and canine sessions. We has a little test run this afternoon with my boys, I can’t wait to use it during photo sessions.
09.01.2022 It has been almost one year to the day when we took a day trip to see snow for the first time. Unfortunately we couldn’t visit today as it was graduation day for my puppy school classes (I mean, spending the day surrounded by puppies isn’t too shabby). But, fingers and paws crossed, there will be some snow left over tomorrow for us to visit! Did anyone see snow today? How crazy busy was it where you were? I saw so many photos in social media of bumper to bumper traffic today, I hope everyone was social distancing!
07.01.2022 Meet Lily, she is the sweetest pet cow ever. But, watch those horns, because she loves to headbutt people. I’m down south in Junee for the weekend experiencing the country life and capturing images along the way. Sheep, cattle, dogs and crops, I even got to shoot some clay pigeons for the first time, hitting 2 out of 3 shots! I’m very much enjoying my first weekend off in what feels like forever. See you on Monday Sydney!
07.01.2022 When the light is just right, but the fence is not. Nothing like a bit of Photoshop magic! This proved to be a more difficult edit, but achievable with 20 minutes of work. I will be posting the speed edit video of this tomorrow if anyone would like to see the 5 minute speed edit.

03.01.2022 Happy National Black Dog Day to all our darker furry friends! This day is special as it encourages people to consider adopting a dog with darker fur. Time and time again black or darker dogs are overlooked for dogs with lighter shades. Do you have a black dog, either rescue or not? Please share their story below, I’d love to see all those dark dogs!
02.01.2022 Photoshop released an awesome new feature recently that allows users to replace the sky in images. I haven't had a chance to test it out until now. I remembered my session with Laura and Hudson last year when the bushfire smoke filled the sky, and decided to have a little play around to see how well the feature works. It took a bit of trailing, but I think it works! What do you think? Yay or nay/neigh?
