25.01.2022 So sometimes it’s just little signs of discomfort, in Z’s case always had one side he favours in the canter. In his case a few Adjustments seem to fix the problem. Finished off with good stretches made him feel great . So many cases are different and not always this easy of a fix , but now for this young fella he will welcome my visit and benefit even more!

18.01.2022 A couple of newbie beauties on my equine therapy list Tom and Sam Both were complete gentlemen while I did my sessions on them ! Tom was a first timer and was a fidgety fart for the first 1/2 hour Then the melt down happened! Eyes rolling uncontrollable yawns followed . He will be open to the next one for sure now!! Sam , I had met 2 short times before , just a complete check and mini massage with some stretches , well he knew me this trip He was loving me up the whole ...45 min , he knew each step and was puddy in my hands literally. Didn’t want me to leave These are the most rewarding pleasures in my life Thank you Loretta Bowron

15.01.2022 Allison Equine Therapy completed work today on Forshaw Performance Horses breakers. The breakers have just completed week 5 of breaking in with Belinda from Forshaw Performance Horses & they are in brilliant nick for young horses that are going through the 6 week training program. This is a reflexion on Belinda’s brilliant work with the breakers / horses in general. Belinda has a strong understanding of the horse’s health & wellbeing. This is shown through how comfortable bot...h horses where with Allison working on them today. They took the treatment really well & both horses where relaxed while they enjoyed their therapy session today. If you are looking for an amazing horsewomen to work your horses/ train / re-educate / lessons/ ground manners / weanling training. Belinda strongly believes & works with each horse individually to their needs, she does not rush or push horses to make deadlines, Forshaw Performance Horses works on quality & not Quantity. I have watched Belinda over the last 3 years & I have not come across a person so connected with any horse she comes in contact with. I’ve watched Belinda create that trust & connection with the most nervous horses & then ask them to trust others around her so they can complete their work on the horses. 06.01.2022 I have been very busy this new year with my equine therapy appointments I haven’t had a chance to share all the wonderful clients and horses , you all are so important , I wish I had a helper to learn the ropes and take photos for me . While I have a chance I would like to share my visit to Synergy Performance Horses in Nebo Monday was my 3rd visit , with 9 young performances horses coming into work was my job for the whole day . ... With each visit I am impressed with the quality of horsemanship, care and wellbeing of each individual horse. 9 horses booked in for Allis Equine Therapy and Realignment full body , massage, pressure release, stretches and Equisage treatments were done on all. Keeping these beautiful athletes feeling their best, encouraging them to love there life . Feeling great happy horses . 05.01.2022 Low levels of copper and/or zinc (or out of balance copper to zinc ratio for the whole intake) have been linked to bleached coats, poor hoof quality and slow gr...owth rate, poor immune system responses to infections, infertility, muscle soreness, joint swelling, lameness, joint effusions and cartilage defects. Even anaemia which usually gets people thinking mistakenly of an iron deficiency is more to do with insufficient copper, required for red blood cell production. I've been told that it's been said by one or more(?) that the high levels of copper and zinc in my mixes are too high, even toxic. Not according to research. For a start, what do 'they' define as a toxic level for copper and zinc? According to the NRC Nutrient Requirements of Horses, horses have an extremely high tolerance of copper and zinc. NRC proposed upper safe limits Fe 500 ppm Cu 250 ppm (but 791 ppm for 6 months produced no obvious toxicity) Zn 500 ppm (but also reported no toxicity at 750 ppm) Mn 400 ppm (manganese toxicity hasn't been studied in horses) These upper limits are based on the amount eaten, for example: Fe 5000 mg/day for 10 kg DM intake Cu 2500 mg/day for 10 kg DM intake Zn 5000 mg/day for 10 kg DM intake Mn 4000 mg/day for 10 kg DM intake Dr Kellon has said that up to 10x these proposed upper limits are probably safe. Copper toxicity has never been seen in a horse - or even induced experimentally with doses as high as 40 mg/kg of body weight. High levels of copper and zinc are often required to deal with iron overload or excessive manganese. Useful reference: Mineral Tolerance of Domestic Animals https://books.google.com.au/books
