Did you know that a large amount of the world's natural stone, like Pietra Natuca, comes from Turkey? Like it's famous counterpart, Italy, Turkish stone is of incredible quality and features some of the most jaw-dropping veining and natural colourisation. This particular stone is a result of an earlier for...m of Limestone that has transcended into a more compressed material after being subjected to heat and pressure over thousands of years. As this occurs, minerals form and deposit in the stone lending it its unique appearance. Similar to other natural stone, Limestone combines beauty and brute strength. To mine stone from the earth, giant blocks are gently quarried from cliff faces using primitive wedging tools or controlled explosives. Once a large block is removed, the stone is then cut into slabs using a gang-saw either along the vein or cross-cut against the veinmuch like timber and its grain.
