25.01.2022 Well I'm sure you will all agree after the year that has been it was quite the achievement to pull off yesterday's All Japan Day Classic event at the National Motor Museum - Australia. After one of the most challenging and draining years in quite some time, it was nice to finish the year on a high note! After the event had to be rescheduled from November after Pizzagate, we know many of you had assumed it was done for the year. We heard lots of stories about cars that were in... pieces earlier in the week, but after we got the green light last week so many of you were scrambling to get things put back together! We applaud this outstanding achievement and THANK YOU! Thank you so much for persevering along with us and your patience (especially in relation to COVID requirements as it chopped and changed ). It was well worth it! Special thanks to the National Motor Museum - Australia team for their assistance throughout the lead up to and during the event. Thanks to Iron Chef Imports, Shannons, Ulx110 Custom Blend Oil, 51 Rocket Rd and Drifting SA for supporting the event with their trade stands. Thanks to JDRF Australia for rising to the challenge of cooking the BBQ! Absolutely legendary bunch of volunteers! Last but certainly not least, thanks to the amazing team of volunteers who work tirelessly to put this event together including Renae, Kenny, Jack and Kristian. I could not do this without you (nor would I want to!) Looking forward to seeing you all for All Japan Day 28th February 2021. Much love Katrina

15.01.2022 ENTRIES STILL OPEN! All Japan Day Classic 2020 is our spin off car show being held at the National Motor Museum, Birdwood on Sunday 22 November 2020. Just a reminder this is at BIRDWOOD *cough* Not pointing out anyone who rocked up to a very empty Wigley Reserve last year.... Our original show will be back next year - watch this space!... AJD Classic is specifically for cars made in 1990 or earlier. With over 100 cars already entered and a great cruise route planned for those wishing to partake, we're excited to be bringing it back for its second year. For more details and to enter, visit www.alljapanday.com.au Photo credit: TJB Photo

15.01.2022 TOMORROW IS THE DAY! SOME FINAL REMINDERS FOR ENTRANTS 1. Gates will open from 7am and close strictly at 10am. We encourage you to get there early to avoid total gridlock at the gate. Please do not park on the grass until you are directed to by one of the AJD crew (wearing pink t-shirts / high vis) and be sure to arrive quietly and respect the locals in the area (ie no revving or loud music). We want to continue to be allowed back! 2. Make sure you have your entrant forms rea...dy to display on your dash - it’s your parking permit for the day! If you don't, you can either go back home and get it, or pay an extra $10 to get a (limited) spare form from us. 3. To enter, drive in via the roundabout corner of Colley Tce / Anzac Hwy, form two lines either side of the cones and look for the AJD crew to check your entry off and direct you into the parking formation. Speed on the grass is walking pace. 4. DO NOT ASK TO LEAVE EARLY. Our response will be short and blunt. Go to the pub, go on the waterslides... go enjoy Glenelg. We are a car show that thousands of spectators come to see, not a car park. It's dangerous moving cars with spectators around and it puts our insurance at risk. You can start to leave from 3pm. 5. Spectators will be lining the roads as you leave. Police will be on hand to direct traffic out of the event, but even if you can't see them, RESIST THE TEMPTATION to flex your right foot. Each time someone does it, our chances of having another AJD next year are put at risk. We do NOT want to become a car show associated with tragic aftermaths, so special attention will be paid to your behaviour before/after the event. Poor behaviour will result in your rego being provided to SAPOL and you will be banned from all future events. 6. Weather: it’s going to be sunny and 32 degrees. Wear sunscreen, wear a sombrero - do whatever it takes to not get roasted. 7. Food and drinks: We have special food vendors to keep you hydrated and well fed - make sure you check them out. 8. T-shirts - Don't forget we will have official All Japan Day Tshirts on sale from the Iron Chef Tent - you can get 2 for $45 or entrants have a special discount coupon on their acceptance email. A limited number of official AJD stickers also on sale! See you tomorrow!

14.01.2022 How many car shows do you know that have over 350 cars entered? We've focused on quality over quantity and have reduced our entrant numbers this year, which means more space between cars that you've asked us for. We've allocated 15 spots for those people who always enter late, but the quality has to be good. Tag your mate with a worthy car and make a day at the bay out of it. ... A reminder that this show is run by volunteers and all profits will be donated to the Cancer Council to fund Bowel Cancer Research.

14.01.2022 Don’t forget we’ve got Clucking Delicious, Almo's Kebabs - New Page, Strawberries Galore Adelaide and Oakbank and Mats famous BBQ serving up the lunch goods.

14.01.2022 Welcoming CI Performance Parts as a trade stand at All Japan Day 2020 this year. Located at Lonsdale but shipping worldwide, the team at CI Performance Parts are known for stocking high quality aftermarket performance parts including brands such as Turbosmart, Nitto Performance, Hardrace Suspension, Billet Performance Products, PWR, Link ECU, Falken tyres and much more. They service everything from street to track and drift. PS: Don't forget we have vehicle entries still open - head to www.alljapanday.com.au

13.01.2022 We love leaving All Japan Day on such a high... and this is all thanks to the energy and buzz from all the entrants, spectators, doggos, trade stands and food vendors today. Some of you said this was the biggest and the best All Japan Day yet - and we’re flattered - but it definitely wasn’t the biggest. We were stricter on our selection of cars this year and therefore accepted less entrants. Our job of voting on each entry is never an easy feat. We try to cater to a wide audi...ence while sticking to our fundamental beliefs... but then a lot of people like to enter late and unfortunately we’ve already approved a bunch of similar awesome cars. That being said, while we know some people were disappointed not to make it in this year, we personally loved the extra space and felt we could properly check out each car. We are also really pleased to see the show’s evolution has been positively received. Trade stands back for a second year, there were lines of people looking to learn more about performance parts, buying an import, and other unique offerings our vendors had on display. All Japan Day t-shirt sales were out of this world - we expect to see half of Adelaide rocking one of these now. We love how far our show is extending - and did you hear about our very special Japanese visitor (pictured here with Kristian), fresh off the plane only yesterday? We hope no one is too roasted, Cancer Council SA had an entire stand of sunscreen to make sure you all slathered it on. Also our chosen charity this year, we will calculate the donations in due course. To our special (and much appreciated) helpers who were out in the heat all day long: Kenny, Tai and Lily - thank you for just stepping in everywhere we needed you. Also a big thank you to the continued support of our sponsors Iron Chef Imports and Shannons. And finally a pat on the back to each of the All Japan Day committee. As you know, we are all volunteers - we do it out of love. I hear Kat is currently drinking champagne, Fel is enjoying a well-deserved bubble bath, Bill has his feet up and can’t stop fist bumping everyone and Kristian is hopefully somewhere being very proud of the show he founded. I (Renae), like I said, can’t shake the high yet and I’m just sad we have to go back to work tomorrow instead of doing it all over again. Next year we hope to have a whole tent devoted to dogs - we loved all our furry visitors and the pats given. Thanks again everyone and see you at All Japan Day Classic (22 November 2020).
