25.01.2022 #Week5 ANSC Social It was good to see some good turnout again today.. Couple of new arrivals and some guys making a comeback after a while. Still not happy with the number this week again. We are expecting and request everyone to come and have fun. The newbies says its fun to enjoy cricket in a relaxed atmosphere and look forward to be there on Sundays. ... It is also nice to see people maintaining social distance, sanitizing hands and other COVID safety measures while we still enjoyed our cricket. See you next Sunday in bigger numbers! Take care, stay safe! #DontGiveUpGiveBack #ANSCSocial
24.01.2022 ANSSA is very thankful to Andrew Walton and Adam Crosthwaite to come down and train ANSSA boys for upcoming cricket season. Andrew has a unique depth of experience from a coaching career that has involvements across the spectrum of cricket in Australia, India and England. Adam John Crosthwaite is an Australian former professional cricketer who played for Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia as a wicket keeper. He was part of Australia's Under-19 World Cup win in 2002. ANSSA can’t thank enough to both of them, extremely humble, down to earth and excellent human being in addition to professional coach/cricketer.

Mati just came to know a day before the tournament and wished to be a part of it! Luckily we made spot available for him and he came up with his team Tigers! Mati and his teammates apart from being good on the field they were really amazing off the field too. Great human beings with great attitude!! It was their first exposure of ANSC! ... 21.01.2022 What an inspirational story by one of the key member of All Nations, Guru Prasad. My name is Guru and I moved to Australia in 2016. I played plenty of cricket back in India which helped me maintain strong social connections and pursue my passion at the same time. After moving here, as a migrant with a young family, changes in lifestyle, social connections and career I had quite a few challenges on personal front like many other migrants. My mental health also took a beating i...n the process. Despite seeing my psychologist, who has been very helpful, I still struggled to cope. This is when I came across All Nations Social Cricket. I was looking to play cricket again and wasn’t sure where to go. I was also hesitant because I wasn’t sure how a new bunch of people will accept me. Fortunately, in December 2020, I saw the ANSC flyer in library and rang Abdul. He was so welcoming and encouraged me to join the team on Sunday at Hemmings park, Dandenong for social cricket. This was a turning point for me. I went there the following Sunday, enjoyed a game of cricket, had a bit of chat after the game with other players over some refreshments. I was so glad I found a place like this. People were so friendly and welcoming, especially Abdul. As someone new, I couldn’t ask for more. I kept going back and within no time I started feeling that sense of belonging. Obviously, such an environment was not created overnight. I must appreciate the effort that Abdul puts behind all this. He is always keen to make sure we have all the equipment that are necessary, safety of the players and spectators. With his words of encouragement and motivation, he has been a true inspiration for many of us. Beyond the social cricket that we play on Sunday, I was lucky to be a part of All Nations Cup (Don’t give up. Give back!) which happened during January 2020. So many of us got a chance to participate, play and be a part of the organising team as volunteers. It was a good exposure and learning opportunity. I particularly liked the fact that people are volunteering by taking up different responsibilities to make sure the event runs smoothly and successfully. Quietly led by the unassuming organiser Abdul without making much of a noise. He influences people to do things by doing things himself selflessly and not by exercising authority. I still wonder how such a small organisation with a wafer-thin budget can give so much to people like me battling their mental health and those faced with social isolation and other challenges. I sincerely hope things return to normal soon and we all continue to enjoy the benefits of such initiative throughout the year and not just during the cricket season. I am proud to be a part of All Nations Social Cricket and immensely thankful to Abdul. https://www.facebook.com/1720015554912568/posts/2539449156302533/?vh=e&d=n

06.01.2022 Hi Everyone, ANSC played their 2nd game of LMS Spring Comp. In the first game we were not at our best, the boys came back strongly winning the 2nd game with the bonus point. Bowling first things didn’t start well as the opposition went on with a RR of 10 scoring 80 in 8 overs, though Zarak Aseel kept his nerves only conceding 13 runs in 3 overs. ... The boys bounced back in the game as back to back good overs were bowled by Ignatious Henry and Jawed Hussaini (5 wickets for just 12 Runs). [Alamdar 34/2] [Zarak 0/19] [Jawed Hussaini19/3] with the ball. The target was 167. Chasing the target Morteza Ali and Jawed Hussaini gave a good start but #Morteza was unfortunately caught in point playing a good cut shot. #Jawed kept on scoring his 2nd 50 and was joined by #AlamdarRazar 40(18) [3x4s 3x6s] and #AhmedZahir a marvellous 46*(13) innings which included 5 big 6s in an over and a total of (7x6s) chasing down the target in just 15 overs. Ignatious Henry 12*(8) , Ahmed Zahir 46(13) Jawed Hussaini 54(32) were Not Out at the end. The team has climbed to number 1 spot in the group. 1 last game to go which will be next tuesday. A great team effort at the end and also thanks for the boys who came down to support. #DontGiveUpGiveBack #lms

Hence All Nations Social Sports Australia is calling off this event and hope to organize it sometime later at suitable dates. Captains of all registered teams have been informed individually too. Keep following us on our page for more updates. Have a great new year eve and happy new year!
