24.01.2022 Our Annabel and Tanika are currently playing for the Wide Bay Thundercats under 16 team at the State Titles. These ladies are playing well and are great role models for our younger players. We are super proud of you both, Annie and Tanika! Play hard and have fun. You can do this via the QR Code or manually signing the sign on sheet at the front entry. Please ensure that you are adhering to the COVID protocols. The conference has had excellent input from the Board Chair - Eugenia Buckley & Netball Queensland CEO - Catherine Clark. These ladies will bring their knowledge and passion from the conference back to our Club, so thank you ladies

The funds have gone towards training for coaches and umpires and sporting equipment. We all know how much we value our amazing coaches and umpires and that we all can’t get on the court without them. 11.01.2022 Tonight the Alloway committee met to discuss the finalisation of the 2020 season. All clothing items (shirts, bummers, socks and visors) have now arrived. You can pick these up from Lyn at 12 Fairymead Road this Saturday between 10am and 4pm. If you are yet to pay for these items, you can direct deposit or pay cash to Lyn on the day. Please keep an eye on your emails for details on the refund of playing fees process. We will endeavour to get this information to you as soon as we can. Thank you

This Spring Cup season has really has taken a village..... so thank you for being in this together. The smiles on everyone’s faces make it worth it

04.01.2022 With discussions now taking place within the community regarding the decision that was made by the Bundaberg Netball Association Committee and its Delegates, th...at the 2020 Season no longer proceeds, we thought it important to give you a better understanding on why we are no longer proceeding with the 2020 Rep Program. 2020 Rep Season With no 2020 Season running, it was not feasible for Bundaberg Netball Association, to continue to move forward with the 2020 Rep Program. Again, this decision was based around the guidelines/restrictions that are currently in place from the State Government and we could not plan a season based on What ifs. The points under consideration were: The safety of our Members, Players, Officials, Volunteers and the broader Netball and Bundaberg Community. This has always been the case and played a big part in our decision making. How do you get the Rep Season to fit under the current guidelines/restrictions while doing it safely for all involved? With no opportunity to play across the standard season, as well as there being no lead up carnivals available for us to attend. We believe that without adequate preparation time to develop skills and teams, we would be increasing the chance/risk of injury to our players. On July 10, the Stage 3 restrictions allow us to have up to 100 people at the facility. This still applies to our Rep Season and we would need volunteers to man the gates as we would need to count people entering the facility, as well as exiting the facility so we ensure we are meeting government guidelines, as well as volunteers manning registers (this is a requirement to allow for contact tracing if an outbreak is linked back to Netball). Prior to the commencement of each training session we would also need to undertake the following tasks. -The sanitisation of all post pads, balls, grandstands, tables, seats/benches, all toilets, as well as any contact points people have touched (door handles, score boxes, pens, sunscreen stands, etc). All people would also need to exit the site and return later to allow for this to happen. The impact on our Volunteers. As you can see from the above, there will be an increase in workload required by our volunteers/coaches/coordinators. See more

02.01.2022 A message from our Alloway Blue Card Coordinator, Kelly. Recent changes to the Blue Card System have come into effect from 31st August 2020. This means any umpires, coaches, and managers (even under the age of 18) require a Blue Card. Blue Cards will now also include your photo, which is obtained from Department of Transport & Main Roads (DTMR)(your driver licence photo). This will be rolled out as Blue Cards come up for renewal. Any new applications must have a DTMR photo a...nd Customer Reference Number CRN (please note this is a different number from your Centrelink CRN). If you are too young to have your licence, you will have to attend DTMR with the relevant identification (please see ID requirements in the comments) to have a CRN created and photo taken. Any questions, please ask or see Kelly at Wednesday night trainings or Saturday night games. Thank you
