24.01.2022 It has been 8 weeks since the storm washed us up onto the beach in Serenity. We were very emotional in the first few weeks after the incident and distanced ourselves from making any decision. We have now had plenty of time to settle and take emotion out of the equation as far as that can ever be possible. We are not sailors, although we both love the water, we may one day win the lotto and buy a big powerboat (wishful thinking). We are selling Serenity and hope to clear enough funds to buy a little motorhome and continue traveling. Please be kind and share our ad as far and wide as possible? 17.01.2022 This is the very first pic I took of Serenity the morning after she beached. Amy Curtis decided to sell a canvas print of the pic in various sizes to raise funds on our behalf to help us get Serenity back in the water. This one belongs to David Malan - thank you for supporting us David, we appreciate that you cared!
14.01.2022 Joe followed sv brickhouse on youtube and our goes out to Rebecca Childress.
14.01.2022 3 years ago we were in Toodyay building a shed on our car trailer in our kids' backyard. Much has happened since then. We travelled about 11000km in our motorhome bus and have been in almost every state of Australia, only missing the Northern Territory. We spent a year in Tasmania with the kids and 4 grand daughters, came back to Western Australia, sold the bus and bought a sailyacht with the money. A yacht in which we will circumnavigate Australia with no time limit. We live...d on our Yacht Serenity for six months, spending all our savings on items such as water storage etc. A little more than a month ago, we had to abandon boat in a massive storm while our home and our dream washed up on the beach. Now, within the next week we will be moving into kids' house, renting it in Toodyay, while we put everything that belongs in or on Serenity back where it belongs. From there, we will see, time will tell.. #allroundoz See more

We were washed up on the beach on the 5th of May 2020. Salvage could not be done immediately, so everything valuable was removed to prevent scavangers from stealing stuff. So the following are in safe storage and requires to be re-fitted: All sheeting (ropes) needs to be installed in the mast as well as for the 2 (front) stay sails, Mainsail boom, Fridge, Marine radio. The rudder was damaged during the salvage and requires repair, it cracked along the shafts, since the salvage company towed her back out to sea in reverse (stern first). The wood trimming along the deck edges requires repair. Stainless steel pole upon which wind instruments are mounted are bent. Her hull and keel are in good condition, could maybe do with a coat of antifouling. Located in Two Rocks Australia.
