22.01.2022 Below image of chain link which recently passed inspection. It broke well below proof load. We cant stress enough the importance of proof loading. Corrosion shows that the weld was cracked for quite sometime. Difficult to see during inspection.. We charge $70 plus GST for certificate and tag, to test general lifting equipment. (including multi leg chain slings up to 22mm).

15.01.2022 Heres a good example of why we test lifting equipment. Chain connector with a fatigue fracture, add in a bit of corrosion, and you have a major incident saved on-site. It passed a visual inspection!

15.01.2022 Photo of an 18t x 6.0m lifting beam that we have designed, fabricated and certified. The beam has 2x adjustable and lockable top running trolleys with 2x 12t Johnson snatch blocks and wire rope pennants. We went for simple approach, allowing all components to be serviceable, although there are a lot of individual components that had to be engineered and machined. This eliminates underslung trolleys from being twisted, or pulling away from the beam.
