Allspec Engineering are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their busy workshop in Henderson.... Reporting into the Workshop Manager duties will include, but not be limited to; Strong leadership of team Supervising and Providing clear and definitive work instructions to Tradesman and T/A’s. Drawing sign off, Interpretation of technical drawings Checking fabricated items prior to and after welding Driving efficiencies ensure tradesman complete works on time Ensuring works are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with our HSE management systems Following and enforcing procedures in line with our 9001 Quality management system Resolving fabrication difficulties This is a hands on role and you may need to go back on the tools in quiet periods Candidates will possess the following: Boilermaker Trade qualification Experienced with the fabrication and welding of Structural steel work, piping and platework High level attention to detail and quality control Strong leadership and people management skills Ability to multitask and plan ahead Strong problem solving ability Ability to adapt to change Flexibility with working hours AS1796 or AS2214 highly regarded Hours are Mon to Fri 6am to 6pm Sat (if required) 6am to 4:30pm. We are currently looking for a Blaster/Painter to start with us on a casual basis during a particularly busy period. The role will commence immediately and the hours will vary depending on workload. The key duties will include: Attending kick-off meetings defining project scope; Developing and submitting project deliverables such as ITP's, WPS, WQTR and MDR index for review; Developing NDT requests and Weld maps; Coordinating client Inspections; Performing critical fabrication checks post welding; Maintaining Welder Qualifications throughout workshop; Performing Paint inspections and preparing paint reports; Writing Quality Related Incident reports when applicable; Ensuring client needs are met at both Tender and Project Execution stage; About you A professional in your field you will have demonstrable experience in a fabrication environment dealing with structural steel, heavy platework and piping.
