24.01.2022 It’s always fun celebrating your birthday at gymnastics and even better when there’s (COVID-safe) cupcakes involved! Here’s Lilly and her Shining Stars teammates celebrating her 10th birthday last week we're loving the llama cupcakes! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

22.01.2022 Just a reminder that if you need to enter the gym (for example, if your child needs extra help or support, or if you need to speak to someone in the office), you will be required to collect a token from the outside window before entering the building. You will then need to go to the zone that is the same colour as your token, and remain there. This is due to the limited numbers we are allowed to have in the building. You will also need to sign in or scan the QR code you’ll fi...nd on the walls, and fill out an online form every time you enter the building. Please consider whether it’s really necessary to come inside while we miss seeing parents and carers in the gym, we need your help to follow our COVID-safe plan. Our Early Years programs require that parents and caregivers enter the facility with their children. For all other programs, we ask that where at all possible, you use our supervised drop-off and collection zone on the western side of the gym. Please only enter the building when necessary for children who require additional assistance or support. It’s the only way we’re allowed to stay open and provide your children with access to great gymnastics classes. Thanks for your help! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

20.01.2022 Look at this mini ninja go! This is harder than it looks, and our little ninja is doing a fantastic job getting through part of the ninja course and making it look easy. So much fun to be had (and skills, strength and self-belief to gain). ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

20.01.2022 Yesterday, ten of our competitive WAG gymnasts were invited to participate in State Squad at the High Performance Centre in Chandler - a fantastic learning and development opportunity for both coaches and gymnasts. The girls attended clinics on bars, beam, tumbling, strength and conditioning and handstands, while the coaches came away with some great info, drills and tips to help their gymnasts perform better. ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

18.01.2022 Holidays with gymnastics are the best! It’s great being able to train right throughout the holidays now (especially as we can’t travel to many places at the moment). Here are some of our club gym girls and boys enjoying the fun and friendship of holiday gymnastics! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

18.01.2022 Happy World Kindness Day! Today we celebrated World Kindness Day at the gym a day to remind ourselves of the importance of being kind to others, especially during such a difficult year. And while you may compete as an individual in gymnastics, you train as a team giving all our gymnasts many opportunities to develop and display kindness, consideration, care and teamwork to all their fellow gymnasts. We notice gymnasts being kind on a daily basis, and we’re always proud of... them when they take the chance to be kind to others. And speaking of kindness, Annie from the Comets team celebrated her 13th birthday at the gym today, and brought along some delicious cupcakes for all her teammates (and a few lucky coaches as well!). Happy birthday, Annie here she is celebrating with her teammates after training! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

16.01.2022 Ring the bell! If you’ve spent much time waiting inside the gym for your child, you’ve probably heard the bell ringing occasionally. Ringing the bell is a great tradition that we have here at Allstars, and the kids love it! All our gymnasts, whether big or small, get to ring the bell when they have achieved a new skill, and everyone will give them a big round of applause. So next time you hear someone ringing the bell, feel free to join in with the clapping, as it means that... someone has achieved something great. It doesn’t matter how big or small the achievement is, it’s a big deal for the child who gets to ring the bell and we love to celebrate them for it! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

14.01.2022 Our KinderStars Program introduces the foundation skills of gymnastics to children aged from two to three-and-a-half years old. This program includes exploration of the dominant movement patterns as well as fine motor activities. KinderStars uses themes to stimulate learning and movement experiences through songs and activities, and helps develop self-awareness and self-confidence. Here are our KinderStars having a lot of fun while stimulating their vestibular systems (the ...sensory system in the inner ear that primarily assists with spatial orientation and sense of balance, and helps coordinate movement with balance). To book a free trial in one of our KinderStars classes, call 4632 4363 or email [email protected] ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

12.01.2022 Have a look at this impressive ninja show put on by coach Javier for the Stronger Seniors setting a new record of 25 seconds to get through the course. Let’s see if anyone can beat it! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

12.01.2022 Look at this high and beautifully landed standing back sault performed by Chay of the Meteors team. She makes it look easy, but there’s a lot of hard work that’s gone into perfecting this skill. Learning to jump and land properly and engage your leg muscles in the lower levels leads to the ability to perform harder skills like this in the higher levels. Nice work, Chay, and for all those junior gymnasts who are working on their jumps and landings this could be you one day! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

11.01.2022 Check out these awesome pommel shapes from this fantastic little gymnast in one of our Gym Fundamentals classes. 09.01.2022 Giant circles on bars are a challenging skill in Levels 7 to 10, and involve starting in handstand on top of the bar, then swinging fully extended around the bar to reach handstand again. It’s a skill that looks easy when done well, but is actually quite difficult to perfect. Here’s Leah of the Jedi team working on improving her giants with Vanessa. ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

03.01.2022 Flics on beam are a hard skill to master, but look at this outstanding effort by Sophie from the Hypernovas team completely solid, polished, neat and confident, with no wobbles or uncertainty! Great job, Soph we can’t wait to see it on high beam soon (and with your flic looking that good, we’re sure high beam won’t be too far away)! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics

03.01.2022 It’s definitely the term for learning new skills! And one of the great things about gymnastics (and the thing that makes it different from most other sports) is that no matter how good you get, there’s always new skills to learn, and new ways to challenge yourself. Here’s Charlotte from the Supanovas team doing just that, as she’s starting to learn a double back flyaway off high bar into the pit. It’s exciting to see great work, Charlotte! ~ STRONG BODIES, ACTIVE BRAINS, HAPPY HEALTHY KIDS! #morethangymnastics #allstargymnastics
