21.01.2022 Spotlight on: Tradescantia AKA Spiderwort or Wandering Jew! This plant looks great in a hanging basket or on a shelf/stand where they can cascade down. These guys are super easy to look after once you understand what it likes. The most important aspects to consider when caring for this plant are light conditions and watering schedule. Tradescantia have delicate leaves that could burn in the sun so they prefer bright indirect light ideally near an east o...r west facing window. They dont like their soil to completely dry out so make sure to water enough that the soil will stay evenly moist but be careful not to overwater as plants hate to sit in soggy soil. They need to be in a pot with good drainage and soil that doesnt hold too much moisture. Another tip is to keep your Tradescantia in high humidity, this isnt a must but they definitely do like it better in a humid spot. This plant is very easy to propagate too! Just take a cutting from any stem and place in water, sphagnum moss or soil and watch roots grow before your eyes See more
