17.01.2022 I’m starting to keep an eye out for the next pony for our 5yo daughter. She has just started riding off the lead on her Shetland (pictured), goes to PC and real...ly enjoys brushing and taking care of her pony. Looking for a gelding (not negotiable, as he will sometimes have to be a babysitter for colt foals), approx 11-12hh, been there done that with child riders, must be able to be totally handled by children and trustworthy off the lead with a beginner. No history of laminitis please. We are in NSW but willing to look interstate. Experienced horsey home. Budget appropriate for the perfect pony.

02.01.2022 The History of Om El Arab A Series This large group of Arabian horses from Spain, Poland and Egypt was imported to Germany and soon found a new home in the id...yllic Black Forest. Sigis parents owned a farm in that area, which would be the home to the Om El Arab breeding program for many years. Together with her parents, Franz and Liane Siller and her husband Heinz-Ruediger Merz, Sigi established the Om El Arab breeding program. Upon Liane Sillers death in 1973, Sigi and Heinz stayed on the farm in the Black Forest, and by 1974 the two were running it on their own. This marks the second phase for Om El Arab. The very first filly bred by Om El Arab was *Mohena. She was by the Egyptian stallion Hadban Enzahi and out of the Spanish mare Morisca V, one of the Spanish imports. *Mohena is the mother of #SanadikElShaklan, who in later years became a building block for the program and many breeders around the world. #OmElArab #GlobalDynasty Pictured: *Mohena with Heinz Merz in the Black Forest of Germany
