25.01.2022 This is how we classify your skin type for any IPL treatment. This is known as your Fitzpatrick skin type. Skin type V or VI cannot be treated with any laser as you will get burnt. The darker the skin the more careful your therapist must be. Through a serious of questions, together therapist & client will discover the correct skin type before a treatment commences. That allows for safe, comfortable and correct settings!

23.01.2022 The road map has led to beauty therapy salons & spas being closed for the rest of 2020 that is unless we have 0 Covid cases for 2 weeks! It’s a devastating blow and one which will see this industry change as we know it! Let’s pray numbers drop to at least get back in December. 21.01.2022 Your skin is complex operating system that needs care and the right products. If your skin is dry, reactive, oily it is telling you your skin barrier needs urgent fixing. Stripping, filling or over exfoliating will only make these problems worse. 18.01.2022 Rosacea! It’s a skin condition that we wish would just disappear and go on it’s merry way. Unfortunately once triggered by emotional stress, UV, environmental factors or skin care ingredients, it becomes a condition that needs to be managed. There is no quick fix but rather a good plan to repair your skin barrier. The aim is to reduce flare ups and the severity of them. I recommend Pevonia’s RS2 line. 13.01.2022 OCTOBER!!! Allure will re open at the end of the month. You can now make your bookings online. I will be taking off pre payment (for online bookings) until 14th November. 10.01.2022 Yes! It’s true we all do and soon they will be perfectly groomed and tinted and YOU will feel a million bucks. It’s the smallest of things that can make the biggest impression. So in the next four weeks I urge you to be kind to your brows, don’t overdo the tweezing and leave your brows to me!

10.01.2022 Are you having trouble with pigmentation and age spots on your skin? Well these guys (melanocytes) are responsible. These cells in our dermis and once activated by UV rays they start having a party and by that, I mean a 24/7 party. This is why your sunscreen is so important. In some cases fluctuating hormones and birth control can trigger pigmentation production, couple that with UV and a chain reaction sets off which is very hard to regain. In order to keep melanocytes calm and reduce your pigmentation, it will take time, the right skin care ingredients, sunscreen and vigilance outdoors. 09.01.2022 This is a great example of why protecting against UVA is so imperative. It's these rays that hit the dermis causing AGING! UVB causes the burns. You must be using an SPF that blocks out both of these rays to keep your skin totally protected. Your SPF should cover your entire face, neck and the back of your hands. I recommend Medicalia's SPF 30 dermatologist tested UVA & UVB protection. You can purchase this in my link
